It's possible that everyone in the world but me knew this, but if you go to amazon they let you search for phrases inside books and give you a book and page number they appear in, which is very useful if you are, say, trying to find all the references to "imploder lance" in a ten book series...
Admittedly, this is only really useful if you already own the book and it's a distinctive phrase, though afaict you get to see am excerpt if you're logged in(*).

Does the Naruto universe have any sort of modern clothes, such as slacks and a sweater or something? I know most of the hidden villages and the outlying villages dress like this casually, but what about in the neutral territories? I've been so far removed form the Naruto canon that fanon is starting to take prevalence.
Silly question, but it is pretty important and I'd still like to know. Thanks in advance.

Do we have a Japanese name for the Gavinners (that is, The Kyouya Garyu Band)?
I'm drawing a fanart of Atlantis as a prompt but haven't actually watched much of the show. Would it be against canon to have a bird nesting on a turret somewhere? I know the Athosans live on a nearby continent, does it have birds and if so is it close enough that they could plausibly fly over?
If it is plausible to have a bird, is it plausible that it would look roughly like an earth bird? I can't remember seeing any wildlife on Stargate episodes, though I'm sure there must have been some... Luckily I suck at animals, so it's not going to be of any recognisable species anyway :D
EDIT: on further thought I decided I liked the idea enough that I'd do it regardless of whether or not it's canon, since it's not hard to come up with a way a bird could have gotten to the city :) Feel free to answer the question anyway if you happen to know the answer.

Do we know where the 302s on Earth are actually based in SG1? I was assuming Area 51, but I can't find anything that says (and I'm hoping I'm wrong, because it would make my story much easier if I could make it up!).
Thanks!
Thanks!
Hello ^.^
New member here (kind of *) with a question / series of questions about Stargate:SG-1, specifically Teal'C
I'm writing a crossover, and am far more familiar with the other fandom than SG-1. The details don't need to mesh perfectly but it would be nice to have some idea where the limits are of what I can do.
Does Teal'c leave the SGC on his own, or only in the company of the team? It doesn't really matter when in the series (the timeline's flexible), I just need to know if there's ever a point where he might visit an event he's interested under his own steam or if I'll need to have a bored Jack hanging around in the background.
I know Teal'c uses the name 'Murray' when he's out-of-base, but has he ever used another name with it? (Or, conversely, has he used the single name when in a situation that calls for two, despite awkwardness?)
Are there any photos of Teal'c in his civilian clothes? Failing that, a description? I know he wears a hat to conceal his emblem, but are his outfits generally earth-appropriate? Is there anything about him (in the period he could be out) that a fairly perceptive stranger should notice?
Failing any of these, having someone who knows SG-1 handy to pick the brains of would be very, very useful. Thank you ^.^
*(this is a rp journal, because the fic I'm writing needs to be kept anonymous for now and some people are really rabid investigators - I couldn't risk joining the comm under my normal journal.)

Besides Amherst (Luthor's aide in Bruce Wayne Murderer/Fugitive) and R'as Al-Ghul, does anyone know of anybody else whom Batman and/or his crew may have planted in Arkham without due process? Specifically, people who probably shouldn't be there in the first place*.
(This would, btw, eliminate Ray Palmer's dropping off Jean Loring as 1) Ray's not a Bat 2) Jean wasn't quite in her right mind at the time.)
*You can make a case for R'as belonging in Arkham... but from Resurrection of R'as al-Ghul, it was made very clear that he wasn't tried, sentenced, admitted under his real name, nor even kept coherent enough to explain to the doctors what was going on.
Bonus if you can tell me whether those folks are still in Arkham. (I know R'as is out.)

For all you in the Avatar fandom , I have a seemingly simple question which is much more complicated than it should be.
My friend and I have spent the past couple of days trying to figure out what, exactly, Azula's age is. We checked both the Avatar Wiki and regular ol' Wikipedia, and both claimed she's 14. Given her ascendency to the throne coming before that of a male, legitimate child of the King, her appearance, her behavior, and the fact that we're both pretty sure we remember her referring to him as "little brother" in the show (can anyone confirm this?), we have pretty staunch suspicions to the contrary. Not to mention the sources cited the official Nickolodeon web page, which my friend scoured and could find no hint of an age for dear Azula.
So, canon_details Avatar fans, this is your mission, should you choose to accept it:
Does anyone have any proof to support or deny that Azula's age is 14, including references to her being Zuko's older or younger sister, or any reason (stated IN CANON) why she might be favored for the throne, if she's not the firstborn?
Thank you so much, everyone!

I hope this is the last one! Does anyone remember if it was Fred, or George, who turned Ron's teddy bear into a spider when he was little? I've looked everywhere but I can't remember which book it was in...
Was anything ever released saying why Yamaki hated digimon so much? I've heard it attributed to him having a strict upbringing from a military father, which made him hate disarray, but is that canon? And if so, why didn't we see that play into any other aspect of his life?
Why does he click that lighter all the time? We know he smokes, as evidented by the overflowing ashtrays at his apartment, but most smokers don't, y'know, click their lighters constantly. Is it mild OCD or something, or an object fixation?
Who the hell is Rosa? He sings his image song to a woman named Rosa who he's clearly on a date with, but he's supposed to be dating Riley. Is he fooling around, or is that a continuty error caused by the directors not knowing that the writer was hinting at Yamaki/Riley until she showed up at his apartment? Because that happened just a few months into the show, and didn't that air some time in the spring/summer? Long before a Christmas album would be released, one would think...
And has anything ever been said about the signifigance of his pin? Because it looks like Oklaholma, and I know that can't be it.
(also, can someone edit the tags to include Digimon Tamers? Because it's not showing up in the side panel)

Doctor Who question. I'm almost positive that the Doctor took Sarah Jane to Mars at one point. Does anyone happen to know which episode or even which Doctor it was? If it wasn't Sarah Jane with him, I would still appreciate knowing which episode it was that he ended up there. Thanks in advance!
What do we know about Garcia's family?
Can anyone think of a dagger, handgun, short sword, billy club, etc that Batman might have in the trophy room of the cave, that was specifically mentioned in canon? I have the Secrets of the Batcave TPB and some of the panels do show knives and pistols in wall cases. Worst case scenario, I'll go with 'an ornate dagger that had evidently been taken from one of the display cases', but I would like to insert an item previously mentioned in canon.
It needs to be a hand-held weapon that can be used at close (point blank) range.
Thanks in advance!

First, I want to thank the comm for existing.
Second, two questions:
1) Harry Potter--I realize there's no actually canon for this, but speculation is very welcome. Snape knows that Lupin's a werewolf, but did he know about the other Marauders' Animagus status before Goblet or not until after Parting of the Ways?
2) Circle of Magic-verse--Is there any sort of canon or fanon or anything about what the signs the mages use look like? I have a Sandry-like love for embroidery and a Tris-like love for books (meaning I like making homages) and some fabric that needs pretty decorating.

Is Dinah still using her maiden name? Or is she going by Dinah Lance-Queen or Dinah Queen?
Another Harry Potter question: can Muggles be Imperiused? ;)
Do we know when Ellie and Awesome started dating? Was it before or after Chuck was kicked out of Stanford?
Quick question regarding Harry Potter: Does anyone know the countercurse for Stupefy, if there even is such a thing? Desperately in need of the answer in regard to a fanfiction, but I can't seem to find it in the books. :)
So: is my icon correct? I checked episode summaries but I might have missed some.
