Intro Post!
Hello everyone, and welcome to Sugarskull!

Today is the kickoff of this awesome comics collective, which was proposed by heykidzcomix not too long ago. Anyway, as you can see from the community profile, there are five of us in this little group, and we'll be posting comic updates and other assorted goodies in rotating shifts, Monday to Friday. It's not Monday quite yet, but let's pretend that it is. <3

Yes. That was my summary. Clearly I'm not very good at introducing, but this is the first post and all. Feel free to add more useful information when you make your intro posts, everyone! :D;

So anyway, my name is Jones, I'm the artist/writer of Vampirates, and this is my pitch!



Yeah, old art, boo. I believe my crazy work schedule is about to slow down though, which = more art = happy. I hope this collective will give me some incentive to draw extra things as well!

Vampirates is a story that really shouldn't exist, but eh, these things happen. It's a story of vampires who happen to like roaming and stealing things, which sometimes include ships, which ends up making them pirates. If you can get past that part, that's most of the work done right there. This is the story of a few outcast vampires who can't quite find their place in a society that preaches acceptance and promises help, but doesn't know what to do with them.

Hassan is a vampire on a revenge quest to Saskatchewan who picks up several stragglers along the way, including his old friend Murphy, a girly kidnapee/runaway named Clyde, and the man who is supposed to be killing him but is currently tied up in a freezer. See, I promise you, it's fun times for all!
