Notes: It’s been so long since I last played with this AU. I’m looking forward to rolling around in it some more now that I’ve started hooking my sister on Detective Conan. (One of us…one of us…) I also know that I’m breaking a person rule of not using Japanese since I can’t be 100% sure that I’m using it correctly, but it’s hard to imagine Kaito as Kaitou Kid referring to Shinichi as anything other than “tantei-kun”.

If you want to work it out for yourself, one cycle is the amount of time it takes for the cake ship to make one revolution on its invisible axis, which is about 2.5 Earth days. A cycle is made up of ten subcycles (or five duty shifts, each lasting two subcycles). One annal is one hundred cycles.
