The last couple of weeks have been very hard at work. The boss has been having a rough time in RL and been taking it out on us. So our holidays came at a perfect time.

We have a camping trip lined up for a few days. So I'll be off with the spouse, kids and the dog to relax. *sigh* Can't wait!

Still can't say I don't like the answers, though.

My Mom just called a little while ago.

Surgery went as planned; sounds like they did take my Dad away to surgery at around 12:30pm, my Mom didn't hear anything 'til 2:30pm and didn't get to a phone she could use 'til about 4:30pm. (She was apologetic about that last bit, I was getting to the point where I was about to drive up to the hospital or call to find out what was going on!)

My Dad is awake and eating and talking and should be released yet tonight.

He's supposed to not put any weight on that leg/foot and keep it elevated. He's not to be left alone for the next 24 hours. We (Kevin and myself) will probably go out to their place tomorrow by 11am or so and bring them lunch. My Mom is scheduled for a class tomorrow afternoon (at the Bead Monkey) and we offered to stay out there with my Dad if she still wants to go to it.

Mom's still trying to figure out a way to pick up prescriptions without leaving my Dad alone; I've offered to meet up with them if I can help, but suggested she try to pick up the meds while he's still at the hospital; she claims the hospital doesn't have a pharmacy but if that's true, I'm betting there's one nearby.

Long day, but it sounds like all has gone well so far.

I just found out that at 4:30 PM CST, Cartoon Network will be showing Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. Letting everyone know just in case there's anyone on my friends list that wants to catch it. I haven't been able to find out if it's the cut version or not, though.

Today, RTL at 10.20 pm - Wächter der Nacht. It will be repeated at 2.10 am. I still love the books more, but the movies are pretty cool, so go and watch it!

Also - I still look like a slightly deformed chipmunkey, but the pain has become tolerable (as long as I don't forget about the hole while I'm eating), so the world is looking better again. Still need to come up with 6 points for my talk Monday, but maybe it will come to me tomorrow morning, while I'm on the way to fetch my son (on an almost ungodly hour for a Sunday, but at least I will have my son back then :)).

Anyway, I still want to bake brownies for my son, do the dishes and eat something, so I better get going.

Got a call from the hospital a little after 11am and it was my Dad, which had me wondering if getting local anesthesia meant you could make calls while being operated on!

But no . . . he and Mom are at the hospital and waiting. Surgery has been delayed 'til 12:30pm, might get pushed back further depending on how things go.

Sounds like they're tired and bored (they've been there since 8 or 8:30am). I'm at home, have offered to go up there but they keep telling me I should stay here and we can get together tomorrow.

Meine Ferien sind mitlerweile garnicht mehr so langweilig. (:

Die letzten Tage hab ich ein wenig Geld ausgegeben. Unter anderem hab ich auch endlich mal nen schönen Bikini gefunden. Spätestens wenn ich in der Umkleidekabine stehe, gefallen mir die eigentlich nie. Aber den hab ich gesehen, er hat mir gefallen, war nebenbei auch noch auf 9,99 € runtergesetzt, er hat gepasst und sieht auch angezogen toll aus. (:
Sonst wurde noch Geld für Ohrringe und anderen Kleinkrams ausgegeben. ^^

Gestern war auch echt lustig. Erst bei Timm mit Mirko, Steve und Jeanette nen bisschen vorgetrunken und dann ins Happy. Wir hatten echt viel Spaß und Mirko hat schön viele peinliche Fotos gemacht. xD Ich hoffe die schickt er mir bald...

Nachher gehts dann zum "Doktorsee in Flammen".
Das ist nen kleiner See hier in der Stadt, wo es jeden Sommer ein tolles Höhenfeuerwerk mit Musik, etc gibt.

Main reports seem to indicate that there will be more Dr. Horrible. I'm not sure much else got discussed from reports so far!

1. I started watching Stargate Atlantis on Wednesday and I'm up to episode 6. I started watching it because harbourlight somehow convinced me to. Episode 1/2 was fantastic, but I haven't been nearly as impressed with the others. I have, however, been inspired to make icons by it (see: 5)

2. I finally finished off life on Mars. The finale was amazing! I can't wait for season 3! I told my family about how they say "those damn bastards!" a lot in their hilarious English accent and so now we've started saying it randomly just as a fun inside joke that, honestly, I think I'm the only one who really understands :P

3. I had an awesome day at work yesterday, possibly my best yet. All of my customers were really friendly and I got really ahead of my daily schedule that I ended up doing quite a bit of the work that the person whose shift was after mine would have to do. It was also my first shift with Christine, who it turns out is awesome!

Unfortnately the day before yesterday was probably the worst I've had yet. I was working with the guy who I was supposed to be replacing when I came along three months ago (he's looking for work and is sticking around for a little bit until he can find it) and he was bugging me about liking TV and was asking me a million questions about my life and stuff and then telling me what I thought about things were wrong and... ugh, it was infuriating. Also it was probably the least I've done of my daily routine in the last couple of months.

7. I'm about to watch The Tudors, which will continue (and finish) my recent English TV obsession. I just found out that it has the girl from Burn Notice in it, which is awesome! Everything seems to be pushing me towards watching Tudors at the moment.
