Cycle 3?

Yeah, I know I'll be ripped to shreds about this, but on Wikipedia (ack...) it says cycle three will begin to air on May 28th and that instead of 10 girls, there will be 12. I know what you're thinking, "Anyone can edit Wikipedia, blahblahblah." True, but it also gives legitimate reasons for the delay.

"Reasons for the delay are because of the change of owners of the airing network, CityTV, from CHUM to CTVGlobemedia to Rogers Communications, which all took place within a year."

I'm actually not in Canada anymore, so I have to ask - have there been any promos on CityTV advertising Cycle 3 for May 28? I'm pretty sure the tv ad campaign for past cycles started at least 6 weeks prior to the first air date of the show, and it's already May 1, so it would be cutting it close.

Also, I'm not even sure if applications/tryouts were ever announced/accepted for Cycle 3, but I could be wrong!

Well, not that I've seen; I don't watch a lot of television.
But I guess it makes sense. ANTM will be over by then; and CityTV would need another one hour show to place in the 8:00pm slot on Wednesdays.

I guess we'll just have to find out! D:

I haven't seen ANY promos for the 3rd cycle. I didn't even think there was going to be one.

I dont think thats true... i just checked the City TV website and on May 21st- the week prior, at 8pm on Wednesday they have the premiere of Make me a Supermodel--- it seems odd they would they would air that at 8pm on a Wednesday if they were having CNTM premiere the following week- usually before ANTM they will show movies at 8pm on Wednesday. There is also nothing at all about CNTM on the City webpage- they'd at least have something this close I'd assume- even just a picture of Jay..

I don't think they are having a third cycle. I don't even remember them holding auditions, neither have I seen any form of publicity for it. I guess ratings weren't that strong to warrant a new cycle?

Really? Woah. Well, if that's true then it will definitely be later than the 28th. I don't know how long the audition process takes, but filming is two months, is it not? Maybe we'll have it in September where ANTM used to be? Who knows. :\

I'm absolutely positive I did but now I can't remember where... Either the radio (kool or jack) or the [info]topmodel community.
But yeah, if it was true it probably wouldn't air until like... August. Isn't that when the last season aired?

Cool. I hope you're right. :)

But nope. CNTM started around the end of May, which is why the 28th made sense. But know, with the whole "Scandalisha" thing, and ANTM starting a new cycle in February, maybe CNTM will take ANTM's old spot and begin to air mid-September?

Arg. I need some news. Like, Jay Manuel telling me yes or no. Only then will I be satisfied. :)
