| Memorial Fundraiser for my friend |
[Jun. 18th, 2009|02:04 pm] |
Hello All,
So some of you didn't know my friend Todd, or only interacted with him once. Sadly he passed away from illness on June 8th. We are organizing a memorial fundraiser in his name, to help his family defer the costs of both his medical bills and the like. There will be a silent auction and food provided, and all proceeds are going to Todd's family.
The event itself is June 27th, in the Sidney-Pacific Dorms at MIT between noon and 6pm with a contribution of $10 at the door.
I know the timing sucks, as that's also our normally scheduled game time, but I would still hope some of you would be willing to attend.
Thank you for your time and attention.

Hi!
Your friendly NERE Convention Lead here, and I'm trying to get a rough estimate of how many people are/would be interested in a NERE commemorative T-shirt, as we've got the opportunity to have one this year.
I need names, Cam #s, and preferred shirt size for the proposal I'm sending up to the NCA's office.
The shirts will be black (most likely with white lettering, though I'm hoping I can get red instead), and will cost $12 ($3 of which will be donated to the NERE charity, the Harry & Helen Grey Cancer Center). Sizes range from Medium to 2X (standard unisex/men's cotton blend shirt style).
Ping me here or email me at khourytamarisk AT gmail DOT com, if you're interested. Thanks!

| New character ideas and ties |
[May. 26th, 2009|12:02 pm] |
Hello,
As I've retired one of my characters to help facilitate soft reset plot, I now have a Requiem slot open. I'm currently hunting around for character ties and ideas. I'd have roughly 100 experience to play with.

| Looking for a place to live in Boston |
[Mar. 6th, 2009|02:27 am] |
Hello North East Region,
I'm currently looking to relocate to Boston Mass. The job market in Maine is pretty much dead and buried. That, and I'm also looking for a change of scenery.
If anyone is looking for a roommate, has a Cammie friend or things of that sort I'm open for negotiations. :)
You would have my eternal thanks. And money!
I'm up for pretty much anything at this point.

| [Lost] Costuming help |
[Jan. 12th, 2009|10:17 am] |
Sorry for the spam, but I'm looking for assistance in finding the equivalent of a tattoo sleeve, but for the torso. I'm considering some costuming changes for my Lost character, and one of which requires showing my pasty white upper body. I'd rather spare everyone and instead wear something that *appears* bare but isn't. Preferably something that I can dye red as well.
Thanks,

| NYC Requiem Game Site Announcement |
[Jan. 2nd, 2009|04:28 pm] |
Hello one and all, and a happy New Year! First I would like to thank Sean for sending out the the site info while I was hard at work *cough*partying*cough* with holiday activities. Ahem. However, from my revelries comes a solution to the Requiem crisis: WE HAVE A FREE VENUE. Requiem will be held from the usual 7pm to midnight at the home of some very good and very generous friends of mine and Isaac's at the Apthorp building, 2211 Broadway at 79th (West side of the street), in apartment 9M. It's the big building with the arched gateway. Do not drive into the gateway, park first.* Tell the guard you are visiting Robert Grossman in 9M. He may ask you to sign a guestbook and wait while he calls up, but be patient, because they're nice guys. Go into the doorway to your immediate right when you get into the courtyard, and then to the apartment to your immediate right when you exit the elevator. I know that you will all treat the location and the books, games and feline residents within with respect, since Rob and his wife Amy are being extremely kind to Isaac and myself in offering us the use of their home. We need to clean up after ourselves and mosey out the door by midnight. There are all sorts of restaurants and bars around the area for afters, including the Manhattan Diner at 77th and Broadway, across the street, who will be open and serving food. If you have any questions or problems getting to the venue, don't hesitate to call me. ( Number inside. Please use responsibly. ) Abby Estes US2008072573 NYC ADC: Sites and Finance * There's parking on the side-streets, but make sure to check the signs for the rules in that area. The garages nearest the building are very expensive, as it's near the Natural History Museum, but if you're willing to park on West End Ave around 66th Street and then hop on the subway by Lincoln Center, things are more in the $25 range down there. |

| NYC: Game This Month |
[Jan. 1st, 2009|11:04 pm] |
Hi all,
Sean McKeown here sitting in for our friendly new neighborhood ADC: Sites and Finances, Abby Estes, who has been dealing with other matters this New Years' vacation and hasn't quite gotten a chance to relay the information we've been working on together. We got a little shafted in there for a Requiem site, if by a little we mean a LOT because I *still* don't know where the game is going to be held, and that had unfortunately held our monthly announcement back as the New Year's Eve creeped up upon us.
This month is going to be a bit of an odd one, for game sites. We have again run into scheduling trouble with the Tada Theater Group, so Abby and I have been investigating alternative sites to use for game and will be trying three different new sites, one for each venue. The third, for Saturday night, we aren't even sure of yet... expect a follow-up announcement tomorrow morning.
Changeling: the Lost - New New Amsterdam Location: Tada Theater Company, 15 West 28th Street, 3rd Floor Friday, January 2nd, 7:00-Midnight
The Tada Theater Company is located on 28th Street between 5th Avenue and Broadway, half a block away from the 28th Street N/R/Q/W and within two blocks of the 4/5/6 (both local stops only). The Tada Theater Company is within reasonable walking distance of Penn Station and all 34th Street subway stations... well, "reasonable walking distance" at a reasonable temperature, which I can't promise for tomorrow night. With the coming of the New Year, the crowned sovereigns of the Freehold of New Amsterdam have found a new addition to their ranks, as Hush now wears the Winter Crown and finds the seasons turn to place him upon the seat of power. In the aftermath of recent challenges, the freehold has many questions to ask itself... questions about the loyalties of those within it, and questions as to how best they should prepare themselves to avoid any chance that what they survived this past month can ever occur again, with one of the Keepers bringing danger into their midst. The Crowns must come together to re-swear their oath to pass the seasons one after another without fail, and introduce a new Sovereign into that oath besides... but it by itself will not keep the Lost safe against their would-be lords and masters
Mage: the Awakening - Fallen Bulwarks Location: THEATERLAB - 137 W 14th Street
THEATERLAB is located at 137 West 14th Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues. THEATERLAB is closest to the 8th Avenue A/C/E, the 7th Avenue 1/2/3, and the 6th Avenue F or V trains as well as the L (8th Avenue or 6th Avenue) and the PATH (14th Street Station).
After the end of the Banisher known as Brahmin, the city breathes a collective sigh of relief. If New York City had hoped that the holiday's would mean peace on Earth and good will toward men, however, it will be sorely disappointed. Root is dead. The Free Council and Open Source Concillium are calling for the heads of Maize Rose and Ash for his death. The Police are reviewing survailence tape and may well find some things they were not bargaining on.
Vampire: the Requiem - Mean Streets Location: To Be Announced Saturday, January 3rd, 6PM-Midnight
From time to time, the cycle of courtly gatherings is interrupted by the needs of the Prince, and by the request of Prince Lorenzo Gambarra of the Invictus, Mister Samuel Cole has prepared for the Damned to come revel in Central Park, to see and be seen, but also to hear the mind of the Prince as it is spoken. Some say that Central Park is a dangerous place for the Damned, home to wild things that love them not, the "loupe-garou" as they were termed by former Prince Felipe Saunier alongside his injunction to leave them be if you valued your unlife. While it is certain that in this time of political tumult, with the recent ousting of the Prisci Harpy and some changes amongst the Prisci Council themselves, that there are sure to be surprises... the Damned hope that they are not tempting fate by inviting that particularly unpleasant surprise. Assurances have been made that there shall be no such problem with the Lupines who claim that place for their own, but it seems those are the only assurances of safety that have been passed on, as none has seen fit to invoke the hubris of calling the gathering a "Night At Elysium", so it is perhaps the only thing that can be promised to be safe. By the will of the Prince, the Kindred shall gather and discuss matters of court and city... matters perhaps he feels are his to know and yours to find out about then and there but not before.
Expect an announcement tomorrow with the name and address of our Requiem site. :)

| NYC: Game This Month |
[Dec. 2nd, 2008|11:34 am] |
Hi all,
Sean McKeown here for the last time as your friendly neighborhood ADC: Sites and Finances; I have been able to pass this particular duty on to new, younger blood so I can feel less like I am trying to keep my fingers in all sides of the pie at once, and have tricked... I mean connived... I mean "convinced" Abby Estes to take on the position of ADC: Sites and Finances into the future. While we're now working together and getting her up to speed on everything, that means you get one last email from me with the party planning details before I get to run around the room screaming "I'M FREEEE!". After all, just because I've found a replacement for myself on Greg's DC staff doesn't mean he's going to let me escape from the role of an ADC, it probably just means he hands me a different shovel and tells me to get to work...
This month is going to be a bit of an odd one, for game sites. I was told we could not make use of the Tada Theater Group, our recent fall-back plan, so Abby and I have been investigating alternative sites to use for game and will be trying three different new sites, one for each venue.( LJ Cuts Equals Love )
AFTERS!!!
There are not one but two options for afters this month: the Hudson Diner (468 Hudson Street, at Barrow Street) for our official late-night sit-down dining needs, and Webster Hall (125 East 11th Street, between 3rd and 4th Avenues), for all such who might be interested in a night of dance and music instead. Rachel has been kind enough to secure us a late-night diner open to whenever we need it in order to cater to our post-game food requirements, while Marvin has been kind enough to look into the good clubs in the area to suggest a place we might instead meet up to dance and unwind after a night of game.

| Character Ties for the NE |
[Nov. 13th, 2008|01:15 pm] |
Hola all,
I am looking for character ties for a character that is coming into play for Requiem. The character has been "active" behinds the scenes since 2000, mostly in Boston, but quite honestly, the character probably would have never went farther then Portland, ME or farther south then NYC from 2000 on.
Except when he is mortal, still haven't decided which college he got booted out of.
A little more information can be provided at http://cam-wiki.org/index.php?title=Ice

| Removal of RC Candidate |
[Nov. 9th, 2008|09:29 pm] |
While this will be announced to the DC's that I have been removed (with my permission), I'm going to let everyone else know.
I have been removed from running for RC due to a disciplinary action that after all the appeals were finished, was done on 03-08-08. This was a major disciplinary action for misuse of office when I was VST of 4 winds.
If anyone, and I mean anyone, would like the file from all of my appeals based on this, please let me know. I do not have anything to hide from the disciplinary action.

| New character, seeking ties |
[Oct. 11th, 2008|11:08 am] |
Interested in making ties to my new character, which will be coming into game next week at Noemi's party. Looking for ties to fill in the blanks. The character has been in and out of New York City and New England since the 20s, but because the pre-chronicle history of the North East was so Lancea-heavy, the character only came and went and didn't make any permanent residence anywhere.
http://cam-wiki.org/index.php?title=Olivier_LeClarie_Manumishon
Email me privately if you'd like some ties at some point. Note, anyone < 10 years Embraced need not apply as the character has been on "spiritual retreat" for that duration.
(Note, I have yet to contact local storyteller chains, because I would rather I have all my pertinent history in place before submitting notifications. As a proponent of working with the storyteller chain, I assure you this is in the works.) |

| NYC: Game this month! |
[Sep. 30th, 2008|12:28 am] |
Hi all,
It's Sean McKeown, your friendly neighborhood ADC: Sites and Finances here, to tell you everything you need to know about our upcoming Game of the Month weekend. Since I have been warned we can expect a huge turnout for an "invasion"-style game, and my remembering just how that worked the first time we had a hundred people show up to game and I wished we had more space, I've gone out and made some nice spacious reservations for this weekend to make sure we don't have a case of everything getting cramped. That means for Requiem we will be reprising our use of the City Center Studios Ballroom, as it is the largest space we've ever had available to us and has smaller "breakout" spaces available as well, and for Changeling and Mage we will be hosting our games on the 2nd Floor of the TADA Theater Group to gain the use of that larger space for this weekend's festivities.
( LJ Cuts Equals Love! ) We have quite a few surprises planned in for our Game of the Month, with plans for all sorts of mischief as we work our way up to ICC just a few short weeks away. I would like to believe, wearing the hat of the Domain Storyteller, that with all the work we've put into things for the past few months that this is an experience not to be missed - after all, when the Master Storyteller is excited about the plot twists and turns planned for the evening and knows intimate details of what is going to be going on, you might expect there to be some impressive fallout indeed from this one!

| New Requiem PC for ties |
[Sep. 25th, 2008|06:40 pm] |
|
Apologies if you're on the NWoD charlinks list and got this already Name - Juan "John" Riley Clan - Nosferatu, Covenant - Lancea Sanctum ( Cut to save space, rough timeline underneath )Availible Ties - Friends, associates, teachers (of LS and vampire stuff in general), encounters on the road, arguements, employers (musclework, bodyguard, etc...does not kill people for hire), also availible for children's parties if you want to scar someone for life. I'm also looking for a PC sire. I'd prefer someone NE-Based; LS is not necessary, but would be ideal, as would part of a family line.
