My head still has pain
and I just spent almost an hour and a half watching something that turned out to be very boring.

It was about a time traveler who traveled back to find his ancestor he was named after and then turned out to be him.

That one was old when the Greeks did it. Predestination I mean. I think they skipped the time travel bit.

It also failed at 'show present day society with wonky mirror' unless it really was all that earth shattering in 1980 that cigarettes kill you and the ozone layer is going away.
... hang on, I was 3, how do I know what was surprising?

It failed at showing interesting futures too.

It seemed to be all about compare/contrast the natural random world where the buses don't work but hearts do with the computer controlled future world where everything runs on time including people.

Except it was really boring so you only know that because that's what every other time travel story was doing.

Blah.

I'm all for watching order fight chaos, but pls to be making interesting, k?

So, anyway, now itis too hot, my neighbours have loud argue in the hallway, my head has hurt and I has had painkillers, and I'm bored.

I'm gonna sulk.

And possibly read porn.

There's nothing like an unexpected package to brighten a bad day
No, it wasn't something someone else had sent me. It was a parcel from Amazon UK full of stuff I'd forgot I'd ordered.

I now have the complete St. Trinians (box set of the old films and the new one), The Brain of Morbius, Torchwood series 2, and Superior Saturday by Garth Nix.

As I am still feeling wretched, I shall lie on the sofa and watch the commentary on The Brain of Morbius. Tom Baker & Lis Sladen ftw!

It's a plotty Martha & Eight story, and is set during the time Martha is masquerading as a servant in 1913! Part Two of this should be up on Monday, and Time Cascade should be up Wednesday!

Oh, be warned before you click, I got wordy. This part is over 6,000 words long - Sorry!

Spoilers: Human Nature/Family of Blood, minor references to Eight's audio plays.
Disclaimer: Doctor Who belongs to the Beeb, all I have is my Microsoft Word…

My fic has more words.

My head has pain.
Why that happen so often?
Blah.

Also I counted how many words the episodes transcripts have, and there's only 9500 in the longest one I found. Which would mean I'm more than a quarter through the episode already.

I think what it really means is I don't need to spend so many words setting things up.

My neighbours have loud. Whyfor people scream when they have no problem? Screaming for happy don't make much sense. I mean, there's no urgent need for the entire street to know. Really.

Story alien is currently called Unsubtle Angry Penis Alien. Do you think I should maybe use an acronym? Or just call it a goauld. But it isn't actually a crossover so not.

I'm currently at that point where I suspect my fic sucks but I've put a few thousand words into it already so I'll probably keep going anyway.

Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker
I just found out that at 4:30 PM CST, Cartoon Network will be showing Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. Letting everyone know just in case there's anyone on my friends list that wants to catch it. I haven't been able to find out if it's the cut version or not, though.

Writer's Block: Your First Record

What was the first music album you ever bought or owned? Do you still listen to it or have you moved on?

The first album I ever owned...that is actually a really hard one. I'm pretty sure that when I was a child, I owned this vinyl that was comprised of classic Disney Tunes (like "You can fly!" from Peter Pan and other such ditties). And yes, if I knew where the heck it was, I would definitely still listen to it. I am a sucker for musicals of all kinds -- cartoons or otherwise.

But for the purposes of this question, I will think back to the first album I ever owned where I can still remember all the songs, and which truly felt (especially at the time) like the first real album I'd ever owned. It was Mariah Carey's self-titled debut album, and *I think* my mom bought it for me. It was on cassette tape, and along with the tape I was also given my first ever walkman (note: that all of the technological excursions of my youth were handled solely by my father ^_^). It was bright red, from Radio Shack. Although it looked really neat, it was very feature-light. It had no radio, no auto-reverse and did little more than look cool in my hand. But it was mine.

I don't have that walkman anymore, nor do I have that particular version of the album. I must have bought that thing on cassette like 5x. Everyone I knew who had it complained that Columbia (then known as CBS Records) was putting out piss-poor quality tapes. The plastic kept chipping or breaking off completely; the tape would shatter if you dropped it, and the ribbon would often pop out for no discernable reason.

Eventually, I got the album on CD. Now, here's the kicker: I don't know if I bought the CD, or if I just borrowed it from my friend and never gave it back. Either way, I've had it for well over ten years (so I am going to guess that he doesn't want it back now anyway). LOL

And yes, on occasion, I will still listen to it. It has my favorite Mariah Carey song on there ("Vanishing") and it has a couple of other songs on there that I still enjoy ("Sent from up above", "Alone in Love", "Vision of Love" and "Prisoner" - for when I need a good laugh). It was 11 tracks of pure 80s to 90s transitional goodness.

And I still love that album to this day.

Yes; I do think normal people are aliens!
I saw this floating around on my F-List, and thought it was kinda neat (scarily accurate):
