Hey everyone, Names Janis, just a Fur living in the middle of Hollyood. I think I've been able to go the PS once or twice in my entire life, so I haven't had much chance to make new Fur friends irl. If any of you are hiding out around the So-Cal area, please let me know. I need a group to go out with and have some fun from time to time, and the handfull of fur friends I do have can't always do that.

Video Room Selections
I know its a bit belated but I'm going to say it anyways. I think the person(s) who were responsible for choosing the selections for the video room this year were fricken geniuses. Specifically to include the animated feature Roadside Romeo. I've been into furry animation since I'm a kid, and since I am classed as a "gray muzzle" that means a long time. While I have been out of action for various reasons to varying degrees the last few years. I have not always been on top of recent releases. And RR was one of those. If yall hadn't been good enough to include this I would have never known about. I loved it so much I hunted down and bought a legitimate brand new copy of the film and have re-watched it about dozen times so far. I don't hesitate to say its become one of my all time favs. So to those who chose it for the play list you have my heartfelt thanks and gratitude. I look forward to seeing what you come up with for next year's program schedule. Thank you all you very much.

The theme for CaliFur 2010 will be "Fabulous Furry Funnies!", i.e. Comic Strips. It's going to be at the Irvine Marriot (the same hotel as this year's), on June 4-6, 2010.

Bigger and Better Things to Come?
Califur was great this year. For some reason, it felt much larger then last year and I had a lot of fun. By the way, does anyone know what the membership total was for this year? I was also surprised how high some of the bids were at the pet auction this time around. Last year’s hotel sucked total blipety blip with the double-booked drunken wedding of doom, and a staff about as stuffy as stuffy as a funeral precession. This year, wow. I really look forward to next year.

Fursuite Parade Picture?

Does anyone have the picture from the end of the fursuite parade where we're all lined up by the pool? I havnt seen it yet. :D
Also, does anyone know the count of how many were in the parade? Im curious!

I had an amazing time, as always!

The hotel? It's definitely a keeper. Friendly (and competent) staff, wonderful space, great division of other hotel events (no one even knew about the prom on Friday), and I was able to throw a huge party without even a single noise complaint against us! Oh, and the pool area is amazing. ^_^

The con itself? Slightly chaotic, but that's to be expected. My biggest praise goes to security. Every year Califur security is on top of everything. Thanks guys!

My only suggestion? Find someone to help Stalking Cat paint the cabaret performers! Every year this is a problem and causes the event to run late, and causes a whole lot of stress on everyone involved. Other than that, all was good in the hood. ^_^

Home again!
I have to say - I went to Califur...really against my better judgment. I was sorely disappointed with last year's experience, as were many others. Off I went, expecting nothing.

And I have to say I was pleasantly surprised!

The hotel was beautiful, their staff pleasant, the space was perfect - not too much, not too cramped. We didn't get in the way of other hotel activity (that I saw) and vice versa. Califur staff was helpful and pleasant to deal with. From a dealer's standpoint, the den was spacious, well-lit and not too noisy. From a suiter's standpoint, the headless lounge was great, although a bit far away from everything except the dance.

Excellent con, Califur staff, I had a great time.

For my first Furry Con and for my first time experience as a salesman in the Dealer's den, you all made it an incredible experience!!

Not only was my venue profitable but I met many wonderful people here at CaliFur; making it a weekend I will never forget.
I only wish a lot of you lived right here in Irvine where the event took place. You are all so awesome; I just wanna take you all home right now .X-3

Well I'll definitely be at the next CaliFur; and I will probably be a vendor again. My prices will probably remain the same but I'll have some newer more exciting materials to sell.

Again thank you all for making my first furry con and sales experience a memorable and happy one!! I got a lot of memories on camera and video I'd love to share with you. Look up some of my footage on Youtube under 'shenloken2' when it' uploaded.

i had a great time and i wanted to thank everyone who made it awesome for me, drex, subby, rummy, sin, pebbles, eris, all the con staff and pretty much everyone tehre for making it a great time for me and if possible we should do it again next year XD

Sin here, just popping in to say, Califur this year was a blast, I seriously hoping that everyone that went had a good time. Not doing so much of a con report, because I really don't think you guys wanna hear how many times I ran up and down the hall ways.

Fursuiters! How was con for you guy, how was the programing? The headless lounge? Were we lacking in anything? Is there anything more you would like next year? Let me know, I'm all ears to know what to do for you guys next year!

Cailfur was a blast!!! I wish it didnt have to end thou...but i will be coming back next year!! Look out for a new suit of mine!! Oh and also...does any one have video of the pet auction that has Pebbles the sabertooth tiger and Eris the folf (not skunk) in it??? I would love to see it!!!

Hey there everyone!

Just dropping by to say thanks to all of the con staff and other attendees. This was my first fur-con and you all made it such a welcoming experience.

The staff did an amazing job making sure the con was fun and functional and their efforts are so very much appreciated. You all deserve a hearty pat on the back <3

The hotel and the hotel staff also went above and beyond the call of duty. They all we kind and pleasant and so very helpful. The rooms were nice without being overly expensive and the room service always made sure we had what we needed.

As for fellow attendees, you all made the experience so very wonderful. Everyone was so kind and courteous and so many of you went out of your way to make sure the newbies felt welcome <3

So thanks everyone for making the con an excellent experience for not only me, but the three other newbies in my room as well.
