hello everyone, this is EXTREMELY SUPER LAST MINUTE, BUT..

is anyone interested in buying a ticket for ROCKSTAR TASTE OF CHAOS concert in LONG BEACH on April 10th (one week from now~)?

due to circumstances, I can no longer attend, and so I am trying to sell my ticket, which was PRE-ORDERED!! which apparently is a WONDERFUL thing, where you get to go in front of the line and therefore somewhere in the front? They have started touring outside Japan in 2006 and Hagakure's adventure has just begun.

Hello everyone!

I wanted to invite all of you who aren't already members to come join us at Jrock Revolution. (Hope you DID vote for USA in the poll we had! XD)

We are based out of California and strive to connect Jrock artists with their overseas fans. We had a blast with our Festival One featuring MUCC, Kagrra,, Miyavi, Vidoll, DuelJewel, alice nine., Despairs'Ray, girugamesh, and Merry. Did you guys go? News about our next festival will be on our site as soon as we have it!

Our forum has a really friendly and positive atmosphere, and we are considering organizing some L.A.-area meetups through there in the future. You can friend this journal if you would like site updates. We have a contest running right now with Festival One clips!

Also, we just launched a special presale of an album produced by YOSHIKI... who is, of course, a Jrocker living in California... XD Please come check it out on the site! Hey gang! Long time no see, yeah I know. I decided this community needed a little more action so we're going to do something fun! I actually completely missed one of my mods putting up the layout because I'm a dunce. I have about 60 communities that I belong to and normally I skip things that don't have an icon for them. It's actually quite by accident but I decided that this community needed an icon as well. So here's what we're going to do - I'm going to let the you (the members of this community) make an icon for this community, or several, or whatever; however only one will be accepted per member. We're all, as a team, going to vote on the one that we like the best! I figure that this way we'll get the community more active -and- we'll have a bit more fun here while creating and icon so that this silly mod doesn't skip the community anymore.

Of course there are going to be rules, so here goes.

1.) I don't want any trash talking. In other words if you're not overly fond of an icon, and/or you don't like it then don't say anything. There's nothing I dislike more than somebody trashing another person's artwork, I know how it feels since I like to claim to be something of an artist myself.

2.) There will only be one submission per member of the community unless I don't get enough people to participate than I may open it up a bit more. the submissions will be posted within the community, along with any other icons the person may like to make. The rest of the icons you can post under a cut so that your community members can gank them (while crediting) from you. Fake cuts to your personal journals will be allowed.

3.) Since this is a about Jrockers who live in California we're going to have to keep it relevant to the theme of the community and the way I intend to do that is by limiting your choices to bands that have made their way to California. (Sorry Gaze fans!) So if they've been in California then they're free game! What I would prefer if at all possible is several bands and/or members from artists that have been in California.

That's really all I have for right now, I'm not going to start the contest right away because I'd like your suggestions and to see if you have any other questions so any comment that you may have please post them here in this post and I or possibly one of the other mods will address them.

Hello California JROCKERS!

So if you haven't heard already there is this big competition going on to determine THE BEST BAND EVER! over at the Jabra Music website.

What you do, is you visit www.jabramusic.com and register so you can vote (once a day) for the best band ever. The voting ends in exactly 4 DAYS (July 20, 2007).

There is a list of about 100 different bands being ranked, and right now there are not any Jrock Artists in the top ten, ~~since Dir En Grey's spot at #9 has been taken by Avril Lavigne.~~

So visit the website, and vote your favorite JRock band/artist as the best band ever! I mean, how cool would it be to at least see a band like D'espairs Ray or the GazettE or (insert your favorite Jrock Band here) in the top ten? Or even #1!

Layout update.

I began working on the layout today and I wanted some input.

I used the idea of Jrock Revolution and incorporated an image from each band, I tried not to be biased, but considering that I could only put a small part of a picture from each band, I mostly chose the frontman because they're usually the most recognisable.

It's a simple layout, because I usually think communities are best left simple, but I can add more to it. It almost seems too plain to me.

I also wasn't sure if you wanted the comments to just be the default "Post Comment." and "Read." or something more creative.

Clothes: Speaking with specific name brands, h.ANARCHY and Sex Pot Revenge are my favorites. Anything, I suppose, that would lean towards a "punk" style and appeal when first looked upon. Not to mention, damn near anything with stripes; I'm also recently falling in love with plaids and I've always been off and on with leopard spots.

Other Stuff: I'm bad at talking about myself much. Lessee, I've been into J-Music for the past six? seven? years or so. A friend of mine from New York played me Malice Mizer's "Ma Cherie" over the phone, followed by Gackt's "Vanilla" and I was pretty much hooked ever since. I even remember my first two J-Rock albums purchased were Gackt's "MARS" and Dir en Grey's "MACABRE." /nostalgia
