| About: | ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif){kind=small} caketoberfest is a creative one-month multi-media celebration of all things Cake.As the Season 6 American Idol tour comes to a close, caketoberfest is an opportunity to celebrate the contestants Chris Richardson and Blake Lewis. This community is a place where people can celebrate their love of Cake in any way they choose: fic, fanart, icons, videos, wallpapers, macros, banners, headers, lj layout kits, picspam tributes, cake mixes, anything your creative little heart comes up with – if you created it and it’s about Cake, we want to see it! Come and join and show off your Cake Love!Caketoberfest Rules 1) You must post on the day you are given. No swapping, switching, or late posting (except for time zone differences). If you cannot post on the day given, please email the mods to make other arrangements so that an alternate day can be given or so that backups can be deployed. Any contributor who cannot post on their assigned day MUST give 72 hours notice if they wish to be reassigned. Anyone who does not give appropriate notice will not be re-assigned and will lose posting privileges. However, feel free to post as many times as you want on your assigned day. If you have multiple creations to share, post each separately. 2) Please do not "share" your day with anyone who is not an actual contributor to the community. Only people who have signed up to contribute to the community may post on their day. If you wish to collaborate with someone, you BOTH must sign up in the comments to this post and indicate that you would like to be assigned to the same day. To ensure that only contributors post, this community has switched over to moderated posting. Only the mods and contributors have posting access. Hopefully, this will cut back on spam.(NOTE: Contributors will be granted posting access at a later date, after sign ups have closed.) 3) Your contribution should be original. This community is not meant to be links to interviews, articles, fanfic sites, other journals, or anything else previously posted. We’re looking for new creations made for the community to be shared with all of us. Please remember, all original caketoberfest contributions should be posted directly to the community and should not come in the form of links to any other site, ljs included. Your fics should be located here, your graphics should be visible in this community - we'd prefer it if people didn't have to browse away from the caketoberfest journal to view your contribution. Please post to your journal and to other communties/archives separately as much as you want, but do not simply post a link to your lj or any other site as your contribution. If it's not actually here IN the community, then it sort of defeats the purpose of this place, don't you think? And of course, exceptions to this rule will be made for things like vids that may need to be downloaded from a third party due to bandwidth issues. 4) This community is about loving Cake, in every form. From their steadfast friendship to their crap!ninja moments and everything one's imagination can dream in between. Absolutely NO bashing of any kind will be tolerated. We are all about the Cake love. Members who break this rule or its spirit will be banned. 5) Clearly label your post in the SUBJECT LINE, defining what type of multi-media creation you are contributing (for example - FIC: "Blake and Chris Do The Horizontal Mambo" (NC-17) or VID: "I'm Too Sexy" or FANART: 35 Cake Icons, etc...) Proper subject heading formatting will be included in posting day assignment emails. 6) Please use the cut-tag, especially for fics and large pictures. Also, please label any and all NC-17 material. 7) Comment, comment, comment! Everyone involved is creating something to share the Cake love and celebrate our shibby guys. Let people know when you enjoy what they’ve posted. Chances are, if you feedback someone, they’ll feedback you in return.
