AboutA community for posting Harry Potter fan art, that restricts itself to canon. This means only drawings that are true to the actual Harry Potter novels by J.K. Rowling.
This means no 'shipping' or 'slash' or 'out-of-character' drawings or scenes. This also means no fanfiction illustrations or original characters.
Everything needs to be by-the-book, and from-the-book.
This community is intended to be friendly for ALL ages.
This means no NC-17 or pornographic images
NO out-of-character 'ships'. By this I mean no pairings that haven't been expressly and unmistakably stated in the novels (ie. James/Lily is OK, but Harry/Draco or Sirius/Remus is not OK).
Artwork will not be penelized based on moderators personal opinions on character design/artistic skill. We are just trying to make a place where Harry Potter fans of all ages and skills can post and view art that does not run of the risk of being offensive/adult.
All posts shall be monitored to make sure the artwork complies with our community goals.

They are an excellent and well-established Livejournal Community, with tons of great art posted, and less-strict rules about ratings/content.
If the images are overly-large (wider than 400 pixels, taller than 600 pixels), then please place it behind a cut or make a link to an off-site image. There is nothing more annoying than having your friend's page messed up because someone posted a picture the size of Hagrid. ;)
Please feel free to include information about the scene/characters/mediums used, and any artist comments.
Lastly, and MOST IMPORTANTLY:
Be Respectful of your fellow posters! Constructive criticism is acceptable. 'Flames' or pointless bashing is NOT acceptable. You will be banned from the community if you cannot handle that.
