Community Profile

Welcome to the Yellow Fandom Community here at LiveJournal. It only dawned on me recently that a solution to the problem of a lack of a dedicated Yellow community here at LJ was to create one, so of course I created it using the name of the cafe that our heroes spend much of their time in. I've discovered since then that there actually is another Yellow community here on LJ, but my feeling is, the more the merrier, so I'm going to cross-link all related communities at the bottom of this profile.

Please come on in and make yourselves at home. Try to stay on topic and respect one another. Be kind and LJ-Cut your long posts (cross-posting and fake cuts are welcome) and icon offerings as well as giving spoiler warnings and, above all, disclaimers and credit where they are due! Anything of a sensitive nature should be locked. Utilize Tags whenever you can. I recommend things like, "fan fiction," "icons," etc. (I will keep a list if Tags at the top of the community). And please, contribute. Suggestions and recommendations are always welcome, as is your fan fiction (I know mine will be cross-posted here). Anything related to Makoto Taneno's yaoi/BL series Yellow is welcome here.

Feel free to take images/icons from this page, but please credit cafe_roost!


When posting icons, use this as a guide:

1. It is assumed that if you are posting icons on the community that others are allowed to take them.
2. While it should be assumed for credit to be given to icon makers, please remind (for the new folks) that they should credit you if they take anything.
3. If you used another person's icon as a base for your icon, you still have to credit that person, even when posting the newly made icon to the community (unless otherwise noted by icon maker).
4. Number your icons for ease of selection by others (so they can let you know what they like), and if you want to know who is taking what, please specify that in your post.
5. LJ-Cut ALL icon postings, with the exception of teasers.
6. No more than one teaser for every ten icons, and no more than three total teasers per post. You may post as many icons as you like at once.


When posting fan fiction, use this as a guide:

Title: The Title of Your Story
Author: You and anyone else who helped you write this story.
Beta: Optional. If you have a beta for your story, credit them!
Fandom: Optional since this is a Yellow Community, but useful for crossover fics.
Characters (or Pairings): Optional, but useful for people looking for a particular interest.
Type: Optional, in cases of a particular type of fic, like a song fic.
Length: Wordcount.
Rating: In the MPAA scale or equivalent age appropriate scale.
Warnings: Spoiler warnings.
Summary: Optional.
Notes: Anything a reader might like to or need to know.
Disclaimer: Absolutely required to include a disclaimer crediting source material (for ALL works referenced)!
