Basic Info AboutCafé René is a new community for fans of the BBC television series 'Allo 'Allo!.
'Allo 'Allo! is a British sitcom, initially a parody of the drama series "Secret Army". Set in the little village of Nouvion in occupied France during World War II, it charts the efforts of café owner René Artois to avoid upsetting the Germans (they are good customers), without being shot by the Resistance. His café is used as a safe house by the Resistance (who he does not know) to hide two British airmen and also by the Germans as a store for stolen art treasures. René just wants a quiet life: to run his café and continue his affairs with his waitresses without his wife Edith finding out. René is a coward. His role as "the bravest man in all France" has been thrust upon him and he finds living up to it quite a burden at times.
