Para el último día de esta semana,nada más apropiado que la música relacionada con un personaje de tiras dominicales.En 1991,se produjo la serie animada The Legend Of Prince Valiant,basada por supuesto,en la tira —o más precisamente,página— creada por Hal Foster.La serie tuvo unos guiones y storyboards como pocas veces se han visto en series de dibujos animados...lamentablemente,los diseños de personajes como que buscaban demasiado emular los trazos de Foster,sin tomar en cuenta las limitaciones de la animación,la cual tampoco salió muy bien librada que digamos.En todo caso,otro punto que rescató a la serie fue el soundtrack,creado por el dueto de new age/jazz Exchange.La música logra recrear de manera efectiva una atmósfera medieval a través del uso de instrumentos electrónicos,sin caer en los clichés que el new age ha desgastado —específicamente,el de influencia celta.Para el tema principal de la serie,se contó con la participación de la voz de Marc Jordan;y aunque para efectos del intro sólo se utilizó aproximadamente un minuto,el tema completo abarca 4 veces esa duración,y pues hélo acó posteado.
