Cabaret Nocturne March 27th @ RMH (formerly The Paladin) It's less than two weeks to Cabaret Nocturne, and to keep things interesting we're having a Superheroes & Villains costume party! The perfect excuse to dress up like a nong, get totally f*cked up and pretend you can fly!! Get cracking cos this night will sneak up on you like a peeping tom at your window, and before you know it you'll be pinning a bath towel to your shoulders and wearing your jocks over your pants. That would be unacceptables, because that is what I am planning to wear! - Cheap entry in Superhero/Villain costume
- DJs Tommy Rotten, Lobotomy, MattSin, C-Rexx, Miss Aeryn and special guests playing over 2 floors of music
- Cheap drinks before midnight
Don't forget we're now in a sweet new venue, the Royal Melbourne Hotel (formerly the Paladin) over two levels!

( Pics ) The Birthday Massacre are more than just a band: they're a worldwide phenomenon. Hailing from rock-capital Toronto, Canada, in the eight years since the band formed they have found success the world over, with large and loyal fanbases from Austria to Australia and everywhere inbetween. Defying categorisation, The Birthday Massacre's sound is somewhere between electronica and guitar rock, infused with story-like elements of children's fiction and fantasy, mixed with gothic sensuality, industrial grind and dark sonic distortion. Their music has been uniquely dubbed 'post-retro'. For the very first time, patient Australian fans are at last invited to take part in The Birthday Massacre experience. Tour dates are: 20/11, Brisbane, The Zoo 21/11, Sydney, Manning Bar (All Ages) 22/11, Melbourne, Central Club Hotel, Richmond 23/11, Perth, Gilkisons ( Band bio ) http://myspace.com/thebirthdaymassacre http://thebirthdaymassacre.com Voltera confirmed for support, more TBA http://voltera.net CLICK HERE TO BUY TIX ONLINE THRU MOSHTIX Don't have a credit card? Oct 10th Covenant, Diary of Dreams, Haujobb/Destroid, Voices of Masada + Ikon TICKETS ON SALE NOW! Cabaret Nocturne and Rivetting Promotions in conjunction with the Under the Blue Moon Festival are incredibly excited to announce... COVENANT(SWE) DIARY OF DREAMS(GER) HAUJOBB vs DESTROID(GER) VOICES OF MASADA(UK) IKON Oct 10th 2008 at the AMAZING Roxanne Parlour (Coverlid Place, CBD) In October 2008 Cabaret Nocturne and Rivetting Promotions bring you the biggest gothic industrial international tour Australia has yet seen! Headlining are Sweden's darkwave pop kings Covenant, on their second trip to australia after their triumphant 2005 tour. Informed by industrial, new wave and electro, and having created timeless dancefloor hits for the last ten years or more, Covenant's elegaic dark pop has found fans from Australia to Alaska and everywhere in between. They have spent 2008 headlining festivals all over Europe and, with newest member Daniel Meyer (Haujobb) on stage with them, will treat Australian audiences to a brilliant live sonic and visual performance. Accompanying Covenant on this industrial-pop juggernaut are: Daniel Meyer live, playing from his Destroid and Haujobb back catalogue. Meyer's last visit to Australia for the Distorted festival was arguably the festival highlight, and this visit will delight eager fans awaiting his return. Also Germany's Diary of Dreams, who, after persistent fan demand, divert from their current European tour to bring their gothic-tinged electronic show to Australia for the first time, and finally Voices of Masada, Britain's beloved contribution to this electronic gothic pop showcase. It's only fitting that Australia's own Ikon, recognised internationally for their New-Order-esque electronic melancholy pop, will support throughout the tour.

Cabaret Nocturne Monthly - May 23rd @ La Di Da We received so much positive feedback about our April venue, La Di Da, that we've decided to hold the May Cab Noc there too. The venue Management will have implemented several improvements to the place too, including some redecoration, a new sound system on both floors and additional dancefloor lighting. \ Add this to the already fantastic features, like the smoking deck that's actually still part of the main club and May looks set to be another outstanding night!

Upstairs: Oldschool goth/industrial, deathrock, dark alternative. Dowstairs: EBM, Electro, Industrial and dark hard beats.

Cabaret Nocturne Monthly - April 18th - 2 floors of DJs + MEMBERSHIP DRIVE! Well it's been far too long since the last Cab Noc, so I know you guys will be as eager as us to get back into the groove! This month we continue our Melbourne venue tour in a cool new place by the name of La Di Da. We're looking forward to this one especially because not only is La Di Da as swanky as it sounds, but it also allows us to return to the very popular 2 room format! Upstairs we'll be playing goth, dark alternative, trashy 80s and oldschool industrial while down in the basement will be reserved for EBM, electro and other dark hard doofy beats. La Di Da has some great facilities including a large sheltered/heated smoking area right next to the upstairs bar, plenty of comfy seating, close to public transport and parking. We'll also see the return of the ghostly big screen projector floating in the center of the room. We've also decided to make this month our membership drive month, with anyone arriving before midnight getting the opportunity to nab a sexy and highly coveted Cabaret Nocturne numbered membership card which entitles you to some great benefits not the least being a whopping $5 off entry for you and a guest to Cabaret Nocturne Monthly! DJs, drinks specials and flyer details coming soon! Doors 10pm-5am Entry $13 or $10 with a flyer and $8 for members April 18th @ La Di Da, 577 Little Burke (near King St) http://ladidapeople.com/
