Extraordinary eBay Guys and Dolls in Concert Package to Benefit BC/EFA


A VIP package to the upcoming Guys and Dolls in Concert at the Hollywood Bowl is currently up for auction on eBay. All proceeds from the auction will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

As previously announced, Richard Jay-Alexander, who helmed last summer's acclaimed Les Misérables in Concert at the Bowl, will direct. Tony Award winner Donna McKechnie will choreograph the production, which will play the famed venue July 31-Aug. 2. Kevin Stites will be the musical director.

The cast boasts Jessica Biel (Sarah Brown), Scott Bakula (Nathan Detroit), Beau Bridges (Arvide Abernathy), Ellen Greene (Miss Adelaide), Brian Stokes Mitchell (Sky Masterson), Ken Page (Nicely-Nicely Johnson), Ruth Williamson (General Matilda Cartwright), Herschel Sparber (Big Jule), Jason Graae (Benny Southstreet), Bill Lewis (Harry the Horse), Danny Stiles (Rusty Charlie), Amir Talai (Angie the Ox/Joey Biltmore), Jody Ashworth (Lt. Brannigan) and Cindy Benson (Agatha) with Grace Wall, Sandahl Bergman, Valarie Pettiford, Jane Lanier, Kathryn Wright, Chelsea Field and Tracy Powell as the Hot Box Girls.

The five-day VIP package will include round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, gala cast-party tickets and an opportunity to experience the show on both sides of the curtain. Details of the package follow.

  • Roundtrip airfare on Continental Airlines (from the continental United States) arriving in Los Angeles on July 30.  Departing Aug. 3.
  • Deluxe hotel accommodations in Hollywood (check in July 30/ check out Aug. 3.)
  • A private tour of the Hollywood Bowl and passes to the final dress rehearsal.
  • VIP tickets to the gala opening night on Aug. 1.
  • A special viewing of the Aug. 2 performance of Guys and Dolls from backstage at the Hollywood Bowl.
  • Passes to the all-star closing night party as special guests of director Richard Jay-Alexander and BC/EFA.
