i see skies of blue.....
things bw the misses and i are fucked up as usual. i got invited to go to a bachelor party 2nite. ive never been to one, but these guys sound like they know how to do it right. first off we are leaving in a personally rented charted bus and then they left the extreme details out for the most part, but i know it involved boobs and beer - and im a big fan of both. i really would rather spend time with the misses, that probably sounds weird instead of wanting to go see tits n ass with a buzz, but we're not on good terms right now and i dont really wanna sit my ass on the couch all nite. plus a friend offered to pay my way and i can pay him back when i get a chance, which would be next check more than likely. hrrmmmmmmmm it would be a good opportunity to hangout with work peoples and get to know them on another level. i haven't gotten out in a long time, and in a really long long time like this. it might be fun, who knows.
i paid almost 40 bucks for an oil change yesterday! thats fucking ridiculous. this shit is no where near funny any more. if we get a hurricane this season, im staying. i wont be able to afford evacuation. i heard international powers were planning on killing 3 billion people across the world by 2009. if this is true, maybe one way they are going about this is by increasing the cost of movement (jacking up gas prices twice their "normal" rate = would be about 6-7 bucks a gallon) while at the same time ordering a mandatory evacuation, people like myself who can't afford to leave will be forced to stay and suffer the consequences of blue collar income. when rita came, gas doubled to 3.00 - 3.50 a gallon, we're almost averaging a bit under 4/ gallon at most pumps. seriously fucked off.
as if to make matters better, minimum wage went up. my training rate is barely over the new minimum wage. this is extremely sad to me and disgusting more than anything. at this pace, this world is destined to become a third world country if it even makes it to 2012. how fucking sad. i remember when i really REALLY didnt think twice about bringing kids into this world on account of being considerate. |

Aye, Matey, it is good to be ashore again. If you pull up a stool, I’ll share some of my Rum with ye, if you’ll share some of your ale, too. Me? Ah, I am called Honri Lefavre, Pilot and Navigator to those who have the will to pay. Sure, there are plenty of Captain’s on the Seas worth every ounce of their salt that has no need for me, but I can tell you that there are enough of them so called Ship’s Masters that could find their own arse with both hands, nor the way to the head without me pointing the way to keep me from being hungry. How did I get my start? Well, me pa was a bard of sorts, a poet you know? He passed on when I was just a wee bairn, leaving my ma to fend for herself. It was just the two of us for most of me childhood. She met and married a fine man eventually, but I was already a man on my own by then. Him? He was a bard, too, and a chanteyman, but by that time I was already a blue nose and learning the secrets of the stars. I server Her Majesty and have the rank of Commander when it suits me. Nah, I never want a ship of my own. Too much paperwork and hassle. I love me the open seas and the stars. The sextant is my tool. I’m self taught, you know? Me ma loved to read and made sure I had me some good book learning before I was off. Then I got a hold of ol’ Nathanial Bowditch’s books and the universe just opened up in my mind. I can see the sun and moon looking down on this beautiful Earth as clear as I can see you right there. It’s all quite clear, you know, when you think about it. And Charts, too. They came easy to me. I can read a chart as easy as men can read the pub house sign to know when the fresh ale is ready. I don’t mind my time on land, neither, you know. I hear some many sailors tell tales of how they are only happy at sea. Not me. I love the feel of Mother Earth under my feet as much as I love the rolling deck. I am as content walking through the woods as I am the quarterdeck. Aye, Matey, this is some fine ale, clean, crisp. Thank ye for sharing. Man shoots his lawn mower, police say "MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (AP) -- A 56-year-old Milwaukee man is accused of shooting his lawn mower because it wouldn't start. Keith Walendowski has been charged with felony possession of a short-barreled shotgun or rifle and misdemeanor disorderly conduct while armed. According to the criminal complaint, Walendowski says he was angry because his Lawn Boy wouldn't start Wednesday morning. He told police: "I can do that, it's my lawn mower and my yard so I can shoot it if I want." A woman who lives at Walendowski's house reported the incident. She says he was intoxicated. Walendowski could face up to an $11,000 fine and six years and three months in prison if convicted. A call to Walendowski's home went unanswered Friday." I got my laptop back from the Geek Squad TODAY {$169.99 later it's adware and Norton free and under the protective eye of McAfee and ONLY McAfee}, so that's a relief as we leave tonight, but I'm unsure as of yet when I'll have internet access. In the meantime...know that I'm out there....and that I'll be back as soon as possible. :o) I'll be back in Ohio on the 8th...and I'm moving to Louisville on the 15th where I'll be without internet access again, at least for a few days. But don't fret loves, I won't forget to check in whenever I can. |

Brain Dead In the Blogosphere ~The editors over at AlterNet are asleep at the switch. They let an article on the “Obama Is My Slave” attack slip past on Friday even though it was revealed to be a hoax on Monday. Sad.
And there was the usual “It's okay to assault racists” noise. I made several comments, but I believe the following sums the sorry business up the best:
“You know what's so pathetic about all of this, both the article and the comments? Braunshtein, the owner and 'creator' is the probable source of THE FAKE STORY ABOUT THE 'T-SHIRT' ATTACK. All this noise is actually hundreds of thousands of dollars [at least] worth of FREE ADVERTISING for him.
Maybe he might pull those shirts from the shelves of his store, but I'll bet you he's going to do land office mail order business on them, sending them out across the good ol' US of A to all the angry racists out there.
Plus, those racists can be real smug about this because so many of you let yourselves be Pavloved by this little shit into raging and raging and you have now given another justification to use violence to every fascist asshole in America, from John Hagee down to the next Eric Rudolf.

The 9/11 Chronicles: Part One, Truth Risingum - a few days where people were all in fact idiots and were anoying the hell out of me. like the teen on the bike who was 50' behind me yelling, "YOU GOT A QUARTER?" i had some crazy dialogue with him and he was as dense as a stone. then people leaving food in my yard - yesterday i found they had dumped a whole bunch of branches in my yard as well. since i am their slave right? rather than get sucked into negativity - i will wait til after the weekend before i call the police or whatever.
but today i went out and everyone was saying HI to me - the postman, the little girl who tells me she likes to touch snakes because they're her favourite, some black guy holding his shorts up by his hand on the crotch, etc. and there's a new cashier girl at the dangerous gas station - some hot pakistani girl all rock and rolled up.
here's the theme - animals... i see this video of a chimp sitting up on a roof and then running after the guy who's trying to shoot him with a tranquiliser gun - throws the gun out of the guy's hand... Zoo drama as escaped chimp grabs gun and i think about that poor chimp - all it wanted to do was sit on the roof and get away from the rat-race for a while - can you blame him? no you can't blame him. the chimp is thinking that he is being perfectly considerate - he is not hurting anyone - SO EVERYBODY PLEASE FUCK OFF. and then i thought that i am actually that chimp.
i also saw a video of some US soldier in iraq butting - trying to butt - heads with a ram in iraq (which maybe should be called Iram) Soldier Head Butts Ram Video - what an idiot that ram is to even consider it... people are such inconsiderate ASSES - exc ept maybe a few -
like the guys who found a lion cub which had been taken from it's parents and was imprisoned now in civilisation - i believe this was in 1973 - so they adopted it and brought it back to their apartment. of course, it got too big - so they decided to release it back into the wild in africa. many many years later, the two guys went back to africa, and actually found the lion - NOW A FULL-GROWN LEADER OF A PRIDE. you can guess what happened... Lion Reunited With Humans After Years Video. this story gave me so much renewed hope. it says a lot about how REAL and SENTIENT and basically HUMAN animals actually are.
and so does the story about the female elephant who once mothered a young captive elephant for 2 weeks - and 20 years later they both recognised each other - Nature (PBS) - Shirley the Elephant (Part 2) - find also part one and many other elephideos. and see also the 20/20 webcast, which includes an elephant being shot dead from a helicopter. this image really upset me..
