Are you a fan or were an active member of the Anne Rice fandom? You read all the books over and over again until you could recite them. You scrimped your pennies to buy the next book. You fervently Wished to finally make your way to the Holy Land of New Orleans to catch a glimpse of the Garden District temple. You searched for others and felt overjoyed at that feeling of belonging. You were involved with online debates. Fell in love with and declared your undying support of your favorite vampire. Clung to the brief phone messages and infrequent website updates from the official Messiah. You visited shrines, made shrines. You joined every mailing list, every message board on the net. You roleplayed. You forked out money for the official fanclub. You went or wished to go to the Annual Coven Balls. You called yourself a Ricean and you were hardcore in all respects.
And then...something happened.
These questions began to creep forth:
1. Why did she kill off Mael, Santino?
2. Why is she talking about the Dixie Chicks when all I want to know is the latest book spoiler?
3. Why did she introduce another useless new character?
4. Why am I watching the movie version?
5. Why did she write this book?
And suddenly, you see yourself hurling the book across the room. Crying as you see your money wasted again and again and again! As you mentally scream

What are we?
We are still Riceans. Deep down. Really deep down. We can't deny it. But we are just choosier now. We are burnt Riceans. And we are here to rant and bitch about anything involving the fandom. Be it the movie to her latest phone message to her latest book. You want a place to scream? You've found the right place.
