'Fetish strip act the Porcelain Twinz reinvent burlesque for the 21st century. While the fetish scene has embraced the revival of traditional burlesque, it has so far proved pretty immune to influences from modern strip club culture. But thanks to two sisters from Portland Oregon, things are finally changing. A big warm hand please for The Porcelain TwinZ.'

bioThe Porcelain Twinz come from some of the same background I do, which includes the sex industry and performances in fetish clubs. In most of those venues, a number has to be 2-5 songs long, and the first song is usually about establishing character, theme, and tone, usually without anything that might be recognized as a sketch and no clothing coming off for half of the number. A lot of these numbers are more evocative than narrative. The clip below shows one of thse first songs, which in today's variety show format is often the entire number, especially at a venue where nudity is not permitted.
I warn you, the sound is terrible! But it will give you an idea of how distinctive and how highly choreographed they are.
