    bunnywarez nao haz raccoon jammies!
After a fantastic reception at Further Confusion last weekend, we are super excited to (finally) unveil the awesome new raccoon jammies!

This long-awaited addition to the bunnywarez family is certainly one of the cutest things we've made!

The raccoon features an extra cute face with shiny button eyes and a snuggly tail as well as all of the super cool features like a double-ended zipper, huge pockets and a lined hood. All you Tanuki fans will certainly be pleased.

Great for romping around the neighborhood or getting into mischief at home! Be the first on your block to sport these swell jammies and you'll be the envy of the entire neighborhood!

And, we are also happy to announce that we are starting a second run of our super popular bat jammies! We should have them back online in about a month, so keep and eye out for an announcement for those.

    More to come!

    love,

Furcon 2010 was full of WIN!
We had an amazing time at Further Confusion this year!

Moving to the new location was not without some growing pains and challenges, but the returns were well worth the extra effort. The convention staff did a fantastic job with all of the behind-the-scene infrastructure and everyone seemed to put in a bit more effort to make it all happen.

We were so busy at our dealer room booth that we barely made it out during the day. Neither of us managed to make it to the art show, let alone visit any of our dealer room neighbors. In the evenings, we partied like rockstars and had a blast hanging out with old friends and making new ones. We even had some quality time with some "old school" fursuiters and the conversations were quite memorable.

I loved all the people who have seen us online and came up just to say hi! It's a nice reminder to each of us that we are indeed real people as well as a part of the local furry community. Some were even astounded that it is just the two of us managing bunnywarez full time and working hard every day to grow this business from a silly idea I had back in 2005 to make some ears and tails to offset the cost of going to the convention.

As always, we have big things in the works, so please keep checking back!

    FurCon is on the horizon!
We are starting to get really excited about Further Confusion this year! It will be our seventh year attending and our fifth year vending. Every year we find a new way of going bigger and better, and 2010 will be no exception!

We will have a sample of all of our animal pajamas available for sale including two brand new critters: Koala and Raccoon! Our Koala will be available for purchase in a few days and the raccoon will have its big unveiling at the convention where convention attendees will get the first pickings of this amazingly cute suit.

Also in theme of going big, we will have a double-wide booth in the Dealer's Den located at spaces 11 & 12 in the back corner. Since we are used to packing a 10'x10' space, we felt it was necessary that we expand past the confines of a 6'x3' table in order to properly present our jammies.

If that's not enough big, we also took out a full page ad in the convention guidebook. We had fun imagining the creative, and it will be a kick in the pants to see it in print.

    But wait! There's more!

[info]djmermaid will be spinning the opening set at the Friday Night Dance. The dance is scheduled for 10:30pm in the main ballroom and should be a blast. This is her 3rd year in a row throwing down the disco and rare grooves for the furries and has been a great time for everyone in attendance.

If you are going to the convention, please come by to say hi! We should be pretty easy to find! :)

    jammiez!
Our photoshoot today was absolutely amazing! We had so many friends show up to model which made us both really happy bunnies. Tonight we actually managed to narrow down all of the best shots down to a mere 130 photos. This task alone took quite some time.

This weekend I'll be rocking my Photoshop skillz to do all the fancy re-touching that needs to be done before posting things online. Throughout the weekend you'll start to see some more things trickle in and some existing product photos be updated. I'm certain that I'll be working on this project for a while, but I was so eager to get started that I've already finished the black cat jammies!

Be the first on your block! :)

    More to come!
    For sure!

    a small update
The month of February came and went and somehow we missed most of it. We had spent all day, every day (except for Valentines' Day), sewing and preparing for WonderCon. The convention came and went in a flash! It was certainly was not what we had expected or anticipated and it came and went in a flash and left our heads spinning. We learned a lot from this convention that will help us refine our business practices and in-person sales set-ups to make everything rock even harder.

For those of you interested in our jammiez, they should be online early next week. We have a photo-shoot scheduled with an amazing photographer on Friday and we're going to make a party out of it. Make sure to check back next week for some new stuff and a small facelift to the front page!

We are also very excited to say that we will be a part of this year's How Weird Street Fair happening in San Francisco on May 10th. This will be the 10th year for this faire, and it's certainly one of our favorites. We hope to see you there!

NEW: two stickers and cheaper shipping!
We've finally got around to putting our paw and yiff stickers online! They're only $1 each. Cheap!

And, speaking of cheap: we just dropped our "handling charge" down to a measly $1. You know we're not making any money here, kids!

    - - -

We're still very hard at work getting ready for WonderCon and it looks like we're going to have a respectfully-stocked booth this year. If you missed out on our kigurumi-style jammies at Further Confusion, you'll have another chance in only ten short days!

    See you there!

Back from one convention, getting ready for another...
    So...

We've really been busy with production lately trying to get everything in order and under wraps. Last weekend we attended out sixth Further Confusion! This year we sprung for a table in the Dealer's Den and it was super awesome. The best part was the end-of-day "tear-down" where all we had to do was toss a sheet over our stuff and walk out the door. Morning "set-up" was equally as difficult where we had to lift the sheet up off the table. Phew! ;)

Other than the strenuous sheet tossing, the convention was really awesome. As always, the fursuit makers keep raising the bar for quality and innovation. In general, sales were down, but we did manage to have the best year vending so far. Of course, all the cash that we earned has already gone right back into the business as we prepare for an even bigger convention: WonderCon!

WonderCon is taking place February 27 to March 1 at the San Francisco Moscone Center. Last year, the convention welcomed approximately 29,000 attendees over three days. This year they are expecting even more. This is really exciting news for us because this year, we are going to be exhibiting there! We will be located at booth 221 in the South Hall. (As you enter the convention hall, go all the way to the left, and then down the first row of booths. We will be on the right side.)

If you haven't already heard, we will be bringing along our best selling Ninja Bunny as well as our newest items including Pirate Bunny and our amazing Kigurumi-style Jammies -- which are not yet available online!

We're going to be sewing up a frenzy this month, and it will be well worth it! If you are in the San Francisco area in the end of February, then we hope to see you at the convention. Please come by and say hi and to pick up some free goodies.

We're back online, but not without glitches.
So, this morning bunnywarez cam back online while we slept. We were ecstatic to see a new message on our LED Sign when we woke up this morning!

Of course, all is not well. The US Post Office has somehow broken the shipping calculators and it's impossible for our customers to complete an order. They were hoping for a fix at the end of the business day today, but it's looking rather unlikely that this will happen.

We're looking into other shipping options that will require some back-end code tweaques, and if necessary we'll implement those tomorrow (December 9). In the meantime, please be patient. We'll be back to 100% soon.

Please stand by. We're experiencing some technical difficulties.
We are having some serious problems with the nameserver/registrar this week. We've spent hours on the phone spread over four days and it looks like we are finally nearing a resolution.

If you need anything, please feel free to hit us up at any of the following:

    Skype: bunnywarez
    AIM: jovino
    Phone: 510-GENERIC

We REALLY hope to have the site back online before the weekend.

EDIT: It looks like we won't be back online for another week! O-well. There goes xmas. :'(

    it's our third birthday!!!
    Happy Birthday, BUNNYWAREZ!!!

we're very excited to be turning three! it seems like just yesterday we were frantically stitching as fast as we could to make enough stock for our first sale at FC2006. here we are three amazing years later. it has been quite the adventure!

we've started having some of our things made (using small local businesses that treat their workers well and do the kind of top quality work we insist on). this is super exciting for us because it frees up our time to create! you'll be seeing us roll out some new items - we have one that will be coming out in a day or two (and shipping in time for xmas) and we've got some really fun ideas in the pipeline. so keep an eye out!

we're also creeping ever closer to that big thousandth order (since starting this version of our site, that is). this is cause for celebration! if you are lucky order number 1000, you will receive a refund of up to $100 towards your purchases as well as free priority mail shipping for your order, plus some extra goodies!

thanks everyone for your support, encouragement, smiles and friendship. we couldn't have done it without you (and what would be the point in that anyway?)!

ok, check back tomorrow for our newest creation!

Whoa! How did we forget to update this thing? I guess we've been really distracted lately with all sorts of stuff to keep us bunnies bizzy.

We're over here working our tails off trying to get our production under control so we can bust out more stuff at better prices. Our paws are crossed hoping that we can actually make this happen really soon.

In other fun news, we just added an update to our LED Sign page that posts the messages directly to Twitter. If you have a Twitter account, just add bunnywordz to your friend list to see all the latest sign messages.

    another road trip!
The bunnies are heading out of town yet again! This time we're off to the Spring M.A.G.I.C. Fashion Convention in Las Vegas. That's right. Bat country!

We're hoping to make contact with some top-notch industry representatives that will assist us in sourcing and production for this up-coming year and well beyond.

Like I mentioned earlier, big things are on the horizon!

    WOW!
Further Confusion was completely off the hook! We had such an amazing time! It was great meeting everyone. Old friends and new, people from LJ and all of our fabulous customers.

Sales were an all-time high this year and we almost sold out of our new jammies (which still need to be photographed and added to the site). We even sold one of our amazing furry hoodie vests (which also has to be added to our site). Thank you everyone who has supported us now and in the past. Also those people buying our buttons, stickers and keychains—it all means a lot to us and makes us extremely happy to see our stuff walking around the convention. It’s difficult to express sometimes, but we seriously mean it when we say thank you!

We also want to thank everyone who came out to the Friday night dance. It was a frightening and nerve-racking set that both [info]djmermaid and I had but seeing all the fursuits shaking their tails made it all worth the effort. And, just how rad is it to spin at FurCon?! Holy moley! That was such an amazing experience.

And, we also want to thank everyone who came out to our panels this year. M’s panel on talking to non-furs about being furry went over so well that she was invited back! Our fabulous porn-clown friend Evil Pippi will also be back since she had an amazing time as well. My DJ panel was also well attended and we enticed a bunch of people to jump in and give it a try. DJing is a blast, and I always say to anyone who is interested in it to just go for it! If you ever made a mix tape, mix CD or even arranged songs in your MP3 play list, you already have begun.

    - - -

February will see a bunch of changes on the back-end of bunnywarez. We will be tweaquing the inventory system, photographing and adding a bunch of new and exciting items (see above), adding coupon codes and more. The most exciting and monumental changes, however, are the addition of UPS shipping and a new credit card processing system so that we no longer have to rely on PayPal for everything. Along with online orders, we will soon be able to take phone orders as well. All of this will be a huge improvement to the bunnywarez site and will make for a better customer experience.

During all of these updates, we will have to take the site offline for a little while. It’s something neither of us likes, but we have decided that it would be far better to do it this way than to have someone come along and see a mess of code in their face while we frantically try to debug everything. And, going by my track record of writing code, it will take a few tries before I actually get it right.

If we are down, and there is something that you must have, you can always email, IM or call us and we will take care of it.

    - - -

There’s more big news in the wings, but you’ll have to wait to find that out. ;)

Bunnywarez is taking off for Further Confusion! We will be back on Wednesday, January 30th. You can still place orders but there will be a delay in shipping things out during this time.

If you're in the San Francisco Bay Area, consider checking out Further Confusion - it's in San Jose, at the Doubletree Hotel. We'll be vending in the Furry Marketplace, so come say hi! We're really looking forward to being there, seeing friends and meeting new peeps, and enjoying the con.

We're especially excited about the Fur East theme - there are a ton of fun things planned, and we're hoping to see plenty of ninjas around. If you want a world-famous ninja bunny, ninja kitty or our FC premiere foxy ninja, come see us in the Furry Marketplace!

We're looking to gather up all the ninjas at FC for a group photo on Sunday afternoon! Meet at 2pm near the registration area.

Also, a heads up: in February we'll be performing some much needed site maintenance, so at times the site may be unavailable. Fear not, we will be back better than ever.

We hope to see you at FC!

new goodies added to our catalog
After hanging out and watching Repo Man with some friends, I decided to hunker down behind the computer and process the latest batch of photos to get some new products online.

Tonight’s additions include three new shrugs and two new playa boas.

In the name of expediency, I have decided to start shooting our clothing on a dressform. This thing is not only awesome for designing, it also serves as a nice model that doesn’t mind being pushed around. We’re planning on having a long photoshoot within the next few months with real people to model our clothing but in the meantime I am extremely pleased with how these photos are coming out.

    . . .

Also, please remember that if you are in the San Francisco area this Sunday December 9th, you should come by our sale at Cell Space located at 2050 Bryant Street. The sale will be going from 12pm to 8pm and there should be a lot happening in the space. Check out the flyer for more details.

We hope to see you there!

silly stuff to make you smile
First and foremost, I would love to announce that this week we are celebrating our second birthday! That’s right, we are two years old. It’s pretty surprising to me actually, and I think of it as being “only and already two.”

We haven’t really celebrated much other than toasting each other at dinner, but one of these days we might actually get around to it. In the meantime, we’re busy with a small list of stuff that includes:

    • sending out xmas orders

    • preparing for our upcoming sale

    • a lot of production sewing to help builld up our inventory

    • designing new and exciting things

    • working on getting a merchant account and credit card processing systems in place

    • and, several secret projects that we can’t talk about yet

    . . .

In other exciting news, today, December 5, 2007, is the official Day of the Ninja! If you got ‘em, put on your Ninja Bunny or Ninja Kitty and keep an eye out for those dreaded pirates!
