since Marshmallow got sick, I question everything I do/think..

She was making a chewing sound and it sounded like she was chewing on pellets, but when I looked she wasn't. She was just laying there. Is this normal? or is this a type of pain grinding? Please let me know...

Also, what do you guys usually do if something happens on a Sunday? Our vet is closed...

So Busta is booked in to be neutered on Thursday. I do hope he'll be ok. I had a kitten once that died under the aneasthetic whilst being neutered and I can't help but worry.

So fingers crossed...

so busta seems to be producing more cecotrope than he's eating. he does eat some but not all of it. the remainder then gets deposited all over the cage. he especially leaves it where he lies, which means bunny and cage have to be scrubbed regularly and both smell none to sweet!

i've been feeding him on a complete formula recommended by the pet shop, and a few veggies here and there (cauli, cabbage, lettuce, etc), and he has plenty of hay.

any ideas where i', going wrong?

Do any of you take your rabbits out frequently, in the car, visiting friends, etc?

I heard rabbits don't travel well, but have spoke to 2 rabbit owners recently you said their buns loved going for short car rides and meeting people.

Dunno whether to try to get Busta used to visiting now while he's young, or should i just keep him home?

Ever have trouble catching your rabbits when they don't want to be caught?

Here's a rabbit running away from a landing A380 in Hamburg.

Does anybody know anything about fur mites or ear mites? I was just wondering if any body has had any past experience about it and how they handled it. Our vet gave us this liquid medicine you rub in the skin behind her ears, but it hasn't seemed to work. So I was just wondering if you guys knew any other ways or whatever you guys did to solve the problem. Thanks, all your help is appreciated.
Sorry there's no picture, I don't have any time to load one up yet as I am going to school right away, but I can load one later of Nibbles.

Thanks !!

hello,

I'm new to teh community *waves* Needless to say, I am a proud owner of 2 bunnies, who I love to spoil (along with my other pets) I have been doing a lot of research, but can't seem to find anthing that would answer my question, so i thought someone here might know. I'm wanting to pair my 2 bunnies together (so they don't have to be in seperate cages) and I was wondering if it is safe to fix a bunny who is more then 4 yrs old? I know its ok to fix my younger bunny (b/c she is not even a yr yet) but my older bunny I have had for 4 yrs (Im not to sure how old he is b/c someone dumped him at my dads work and he brought him home) but Im thinking he isn't more then 5 yrs of age. I thank you for any advise given.

Subject:Sneezes
Posted by:saph_n_bunnies.
Time:12:37 pm.
Mood:confused.
Righty, every fricken winter Thy starts her sneezing fits up again. Her nose and eyes are clean and not leaking, her chest is clear, hutch is clean, she eats, plays, potties, destroys carpets all as she normally does. I am thinking its something they put on the hay in the winter or in it to keep it fresh and it just gives her the sneezes (the other two are fine), but anyway, we bring all the bunnies in for the winter to keep them a bit warmer, this year she is sneezing more and even the house has been colder, again, clear eyes, nose, and chest.

The warmer the room gets the less she sneezes it seems, or maybe she just snuggles up and sleeps instead of sneezing lol! anyway, point is, has anyone ever tried one of these: http://www.petplanet.co.uk/product.asp?dept_id=138&pf_id=2265?

My girls chew on EVERYTHING, so I'm not sure if they would dig it out and eat it. Does anyone have experience with these? thanks so much!

i'm willing to sounds like an uneducated rabbit owner to ask this;

how in the heck can i get my (female) rabbit to stop peeing on the couch?

She's just over 4 years old and has now started to pee on the couch, it's only one spot, but every time she does it i have to kick her back outside and scrub the spot like there is no tomorrow trying to get the smell out.

Is there anything i can put on the couch that might deter her from peeing on it?

it's odd, during the winter she would lay on the couch and sleep, but now all she does is pee when she's up there.

a little help please, i dont want her to continue having to live outside, but if she doesn't stop this i dont have much other choice.
