For anyone who hasn't seen, some clips from the Home Ship Eisei tour (Super Live?) are up on YouTube now. I tried putting them in order based on the list in Backstage Pass, so hopefully it's right. It's not all 22 songs they did at the live, but it's better than nothing. =D

Mayday
Sainou Jin Ouenka
Laugh Maker
Guild
Hana no Na
Amedama no Uta
Daimond and Tentai Kansoku
Supernova
Present
Glass no Blues

Also, the Rock in Japan site put up reports and pictures of all the shows. Bump's is here, and has some really good pictures of the band. Well, really good pictures of Motoo and Hiro at least. Chama and Hide both got "I'm in the middle of doing something and thus look rather dumb" shots. rabid_dangirl will probably post her Rock in Japan Fes. report sometime in the near future for anyone interested, as she was the one actually paying attention to everything that was going on while I just stared lovestruck at Chama the entire time. XD

I downloaded it of course, being the addict that I am.

After downloading, I noticed a song called "Present". It wasn't familiar at all so I tried listening to it, and wow.

Download torrent here.

If you just want that song, get it here

I can upload the album for direct download on request. :3

I'm assuming all of you have BOC's second album stored in your PCs or Lappys or iPods or whatever. I recommend you listen to the last song of that album first before listening to this.♪♪

Is this song new? Or a secret track that I might have missed?
these are from around winter 2006, when bump went to seoul for a live. for all the hiro fans! :)

http://www.bumpofchicken.com/diary.php?p=100#n62
ソウルライブその後… (After the Seoul Live…)

The after-party was a huge all-out affair.
The members and all the staff dropped small glasses filled with shochu
into glasses filled with beer (apparently in Korea this is called a "bomb drink")
and chugged them down in one go.
Even the lightweights Chama and Fujiwara drank!
After that, Masu poured out the bottle of makgeolli he had (a drink said to linger for days)
and everyone drank some more.

Then it was time to wrap up, so we paid the huge bill (shockingly huge!)
and went back to the hotel as a group.

When a certain someone (the one pointing his finger) gets really drunk,
he undergoes the transformation you see here. (Sorry for the shaky image – I was drunk.)
After reaching the hotel, this person did something very amusing,
but you'll have to wait until next time to hear about it!

-----

http://www.bumpofchicken.com/diary.php?p=100#n63
つづき (Continuation)

After getting back to the hotel, I followed Fujiwara to his room to discuss some things with him.
That's when a certain someone also entered the room, even though he had no reason to be there.

That individual was called Hiro-san.

To briefly introduce him: to others, Hiro-san gives off the impression of
being really fun! and a great guy! – which he is, soooometimes, when on tour.
I'm sure all the members wish Hiroaki could always be like that.

Anyway, since it appeared like we were finishing up business,

Hiro-san: "Taka-chuu, you haven't drunk enough! DRINK!"
[taka-chuu: a nickname for takahashi? maybe?]

Although it was Fujiwara's room, he opened the fridge as if the room were his
and began pouring a bottle of beer into a glass!
Fujiwara kept saying things like "You bastard!!"
but was countered with "Don't be so STINGY!", and other words to that effect.

Then, apparently he didn't like the silence in the room
because he began fiddling with the remote control.

Hiro-san: "Man, isn't there anything interesting on?"

We're in a foreign country; of course nothing's interesting to you!
In the meantime, Fujiwara and I were busy at work . . .
When suddenly we heard what sounded like a foreign voice, panting on TV . . .
Hiro-san had pushed the button for the pay-per-view channel!!

Fujiwara said something like, "You bastard!
When I check out, it's going to look like I had watched a porn video!"

True. It'd really stink, going up to the lady at the front desk in the morning
and having to pay for a porn video you hadn't even watched.

Hiro-san: "Ahaha, I can't believe you’re that embarrassed!" etc.
And then he went and took another beer from the fridge!

Fujiwara told me, "This'll definitely be a great story for your blog,"
so I went ahead and wrote this entry, making sure to
take a picture that showed the pay-per-view program running on the TV.

Apparently at check out, Masukawa, who seemed to have completely forgotten about what had happened,
properly paid the bill after being reminded by Fujiwara.

*I was able to write a long entry for the first time since starting this diary,
thanks to this story. So happy!!

-----

hello, everyone! i've been a bump of chicken fan (to put it mildly) for several years now, but i didn't think to look up other bump fans on LJ until just recently. this community was a wonderful find. :)

i've been browsing through some of the older entries, and it looks like no one's yet gotten around to translating the takahashi diary entries from bump's official website. some of the entries are really amusing, so i thought i might point a few out here, just in case anyone's missed them:

[note: i've listed the entries in the order they were written, not in the order they appear on the blog now. these particular entries were written around the release of the "namida no furusato" single last year.]

------

http://www.bumpofchicken.com/diary.php?p=80#n83
4人揃って登場です。 (All Four Make an Appearance Together.)

Snapped this picture the other day, when we went shopping
at a certain home depot center in the suburbs.

Ee~, I bet everyone is on pins and needles for the next new announcement.
It turns out we’ll be able to release some information on October 10th (Tuesday).
Look forward to it!

------

http://www.bumpofchicken.com/diary.php?p=80#n84
涙のふるさとのジャケ (The Jacket Cover of “Namida no Furusato”)

The jacket cover for “Namida no Furusato” was uploaded onto the discography page;
have you seen it?

The robo standing right in the center was actually created by the members.
The reason why they went to the home depot center in my last entry was
to buy materials for it.

We went shopping without any kind of concept in our heads,
going to each corner to gather anything that looked promising.
It ended up being an all-day affair.

The actual construction date will be coming up later.

------

http://www.bumpofchicken.com/diary.php?p=80#n85
ロボ制作編 (Robo Production)

Although I call it “Robo,” it doesn’t really have a name;
it’s just something I came up with for this diary.

It’s pretty huge, this guy.
We had to borrow a classroom in a certain school that’s been closed
in order to carry out the job.

The “正” character [note: similar to hash marks; commonly used way to count things in japan] you see in the back is the number of times Masu farted.
As you can see, at this particular stage
work was far from being complete.
By the end, the number of “正”s was terrible!

if people are interested, i can keep translating some of the more exciting / amusing entries; otherwise, i'll stop spamming the comm. :)

btw, is anyone else going to the concert in seoul on the 21st? (i'm actually studying in korea for the summer and was able to snag tickets - still reeling from the unbelievable luck!!)

A question of secrets

Hello all!

Though introductions may be in order, I'm actually going to dive head first into this community with a question/request. I just got the new Orbital Period DVD and while I was randomly scrolling through the list of PVs (I mean, REALLY randomly, I have no idea how I did this), I realized that my scrolling and random button pushing of the remote had somehow made it so that none of the songs were selected, nor was Play All. I hit enter and Hide's voice chimed in with a "Ah! You've found the secret!" and then BELIEVE was listed at the bottom of the list of PVs. Turns out, selecting Believe just gets you a 2 second sound clip of them going "Believe" like the hidden on the Orbital Period CD and once I selected an actual PV, hoping there might be more secrets in store, the track disappeared. So, my question is, 1) Has anyone ever found anything like this on any of the other PV discs? and 2) HOW DO YOU GET TO IT? I spent another ten minutes flipping through the track list trying to make it come up again to see if there was anything extra spiffy, but got nothing. Believe is gone and I have no idea how I got there in the first place. So, any help is greatly appreciated.

THANKS!

So this is a bit of a request, but I was wondering if anyone had the 'Karma' or 'Sailing Day' PV that they would be willing to upload/share? I'm a fledgling icon maker, and would really like to make some Bump of Chicken icons with screen shots from those videos. I'm willing to trade, though I don't have much to offer.

My name is emily and I've been a BoC fan for 3 years now thanks to my friend Koharu and her influence over my music taste lol.The only sad thing about this is that the only CD I have by them is orbital period (which is amazing!), but I would like to hear some of their earlier recordings.....

so my request is if anyone is willing to upload a discography of them or please direct me to someplace that has it? I've tried looking online, but it's difficult for me to find it and my source (Koharu)'s computer crashed, so she's lost everything to.
