It's unsurprising that such a small creature can make such a big impact in one's life. He was my first bird, acquired when I was 14, and it is because of him that I love parrots now. He made my mother, who never liked her childhood pets, understand what it is to love one. He gave my brother something to care about besides himself. He won me over with his charming personality and wormed his way into my heart. He finally lost his bravely-fought battle with a kidney tumor. I'm glad that last weekend I was able to see him one last time.

Sleep well, my baby. You've earned it.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I lost my dear Pelle this summer, and he was also my first bird.

I'm so sorry about your bird. It's impressive though, that he was 7 years old! My bird died of kidney failure, and he was only 4. It is wonderful, i agree, how something so small can bring us so much joy and change our lives.

Awww :*( the poor baby, he's so cute.

I'm sorry, I don't even want to know how you feel, because I'm sure it's so awful. I love my keet too and can never imagine life without him.
