We've been outlining Buddy Cop Show The Movie: Tequila Sunrise the past few days. It's been going really well, and while there are quite a few people (6 to 8 depending) bouncing around ideas at any given time in these meetings, it's still been really productive. I think we've all but hammered out a general outline in the two meetings we've had and can get to work on the actual script in the near future. Boy howdy. |

Buddy Cop Show Season 2 Production Pictures!
(Leeching these from malloman.blogspot.com, along with Shawn's comments. Let me know if that's a problem, Mr. Rourk!) "Aaron and Bobby taking a break to have a pep talk with Bobby's horse...and to pose for pictures." "Josh trying to get a handle on the lighting situation during the shoot on day three. I guess I could have put the camera down and helped him, eh?" "Daniel likes guns. Why? I dunno But he does look striking in that hat, I must say." "Grant being Grant." "Aaron can talk to animals. Dare we say he was a horse whisperer? Unbeknownst to Ryan and Bobby, the horse was saying that he didn't like them." "This is the only time that Ryan wasn't either getting head butted by the horse or nearly thrown off it. I should note that Bobby had the smoothest dismount of anyone, though, dodging near death." "Artsy noose photo. Ryan never wants to see that again." |

I'm not ashamed that I like hamburgers!
Well, we went to the Hub-Bub Bring Your Own Art show today and it was a rousing success --- for everyone else. We sold an amazing THREE copies of Buddy Cop Show. The people that watched it seemed to enjoy it but it was really noisy at the venue and we had some technical problems. But a good time was had by all, despite our bitter failure! |

X-Posted From My Journal
(Figured I'd post this here in case anyone's interested) Hello! If you're reading this it's because you've expressed interest in working with Pretty Penny Productions over Winter Break for our production of "Buddy Cop Show: Season 2." Currently we are set to shoot in the Charleston area on December 17 and 18 (Saturday and Sunday), to be followed by principal shooting in Columbia from December 27 to January 7. This schedule is currently subject to change, and don't worry... Even if you can't make it to all (or even most) of these shoots, we can still probably use your talent. If you think you will be able to invest enough time to be a principal actor, please let me know so I can schedule an audition with you. If you think your time might be somewhat limited during our principal production period, but you would still like to work in smaller roles, please email me your full name and phone number so I can pass it on to my production manager for scheduling. Thanks for your interest and I hope to work with you on this project! It's gonna be a lot of fun! Sincerely, Aaron Johnson President and Founder of Pretty Penny Productions Director of Buddy Cop Show |

Exciting!
Today Buddy Cop Show is the featured movie on the Independent Film Forum and the reviews are going to roll in! Check out our first one! ""Buddy Cop Show\" doesn\'t belong in the comedy category simply because it\'s not funny. This is supposed to be an amusing film. But it doesn\'t have the look nor the feel of a comedy. For the most part, it is loud, rambunctious, and ultimately plotless. One of the cops thinks he is Mad Max yet he doesn\'t seem to even have the I.Q. of a turtle. The performances are unbelievable and the dialogue is cheesy. \"Buddy Cop Show\" borrows from most cop/buddy films out there but it borrows the wrong moments. Espcecially the moment in which the \"Mad Max\" cop tries to shoot a cat. The brainless cop who wears a patch on his right eye says, \"If it [the cat] scratches any furniture, I\'m going to scratch its\' face and yours.\" Only someone who hasn\'t graduated from college speaks this way. Maybe I\'m being cruel. Maybe I missed the point or maybe I lack a sense of humor. But I\'ve seen many comedies. I\'ve went to the movies and laughed many times enough to know a good comedy when I see one. This is not a successful comedy. It has all the wrong notes. It is ridiculous. I didn\'t laugh. If the idea was to go for laughs here, I\'m sorry, it didn\'t reach me at all." There are so many excellent box quotes in this one! "The performances are unbelievable" "I've . . . laughed . . . enough to know a good comedy when I see one." "This is . . . an amusing film." |

Memo From Human Resources
Greetings, Earthkind! We had a moderately successful evening of debate, bickering and brainstorming deep in the bowells of our University Library last evening, followed by Angus Steak Pizza-fueled revelry. We decided on which four episodes we're going to shoot next evening. There was some discension from Bobby and Ryan about a couple of the episodes, but now we're all more or less in shaky agreement. Fiscal Headlines: Pretty Penny Productions Community Chest is down to $45 or so. This is no good! We'd better win a film festival or get some DVDs sold soon, or we'll be scraping rock biggity bottom! So tell your neighbors, tell your friends, get the word out! Or all hope is lost!!! |
