another Thursday, another third swing shift... [07 Aug 2008|10:48pm] stephinextremis [ mood | exhausted ] One which was actually a decent training day, as it turns out. With me on 17 and Britt next to me on 18, we rocked Kansas, which is what we call that corner of our area. We also have "Nebraska" (sectors 8/67), "Colorado" (7/61) and "The Lawsuit Maker" (19, the bastard). Tomorrow, I get ERAM-ed during the second half of my shift. If you don't know what that is, consider yourself fortunate :) Tonight is the coolest (temperature-wise) night I can remember since sometime in May. Is it a hint of fall I am sensing? I can't wait for it. I missed out on the best part of fall here last year, since I was in Rochester. I am looking forward to cooler weather and changing leaves, things that are still new to me. After inhaling some catnip, Velcro is chasing her tail like a kitten. Juliet is looking about in a state of complete paranoia. I am a bad mother, getting them high before I go to bed, but it's so entertaining. And bed is a necessity, owing to my ERAM-filled 6:30 shift tomorrow (that's seven and a half hours from now, including my thirty-minute commute...ugh). Eventually: awesome pictures.
