The BtVS/Angel 100. General idea taken from the other 100 communities, like ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) hp100 and wednesday100 (the Harry Potter and Smallville equivilants). The basic premise? We give you a challange topic once a week, you write us up a 100-word drabble. Simple as pie, yeah?
1. Joining the Community
Any LJ user is welcome to join the community. There is no post requirement if you do join, so feel free to lurk around. Since the "everything goes" attitude is taken towards what's written, all warnings and all ratings are accepted. If the raiting is R+, or if the subject matter is rather squicky, we ask that you put the drabbles behind a cut. If you don't know how, click here.
2. Posting in the Community
New challanges will be posted every Monday before 18:00 EST (6 PM), unless otherwise announced. Any character from either Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel may be used. You can post multiple responses to the challanges, either together in one post or seperatly, though we do ask that any post that has more than 2 drabbles have cuts for all the drabbles regardless of rating. Because it can't be said enough, absolutly anything with an R or NC-17 raiting must be put under a cut. Also, absolutly no off-topic posting. The mods will come and beat you with a stupid stick. No promotions, no questions, no discussions. If you have any questions, or would like to affiliate, please contact the mod at the e-mail address given above.
3. Posting Format
You may write no more than 10 responses to a given challenge. Be warned: people are less likely to read all of your drabbles if you lump them together in one post. After three or four, it is greatly advised to start a new post.
-The Subject Heading:
Title of Drabble (Rating)
Ex: Xander's Trip to the Store (PG)
If you are posting multiple drabbles in one post, divide them with a "/" mark.
Ex: Xander's Trip to the Store (PG)/The Dark Hour (R)/Sanity Line (G)
-The Body of the Post:
Title: Title of the drabble.
Author: The name you go by and your user name in tag format.
Challenge: The name and the number of the challenge you're responding to. If there are options in a challenge, be sure to list the one you picked.
Rating: Pretty self explanitory. The choices are G, PG, PG-13, R, and NC-17. No PG-15, no M, no M-15. Just pick the one that best corresponds. If worried, overrate instead of underrate.
Characters/Parings: Again, pretty self explanitory. If it's a featured character, just write the character's name. If it's a featured romantic relationship, put a "/" between the names. If it's a featured platonic relationship, put a "+" between the names.
Word Count: It should be (hopefully) 100.
Warnings/Author's Notes: If the content is violent, sexual, or squicky in nature, tell us here. If you have anything else you want to say, tell us here.

4. Posting Rules
-The drabbles really must be 100 words in length. Shorter is okay, but we are aiming for 100. Hence the name btvs100.
-You may only respond to the current challenge. Last weeks challenge was last weeks challenge. You cannot write fics then and post them later. These entries will be deleted, so please, PLEASE don't do it.
-No crossovers unless the challenge asks for it. BtVS-verse and Angel-verse crossovers are fine, but nothing else. There will be challenges that feature crossovers, not to fret. Just don't employ that plot device on a normal basis.
-No original characters, unless they're used to study the character of focus better. They absoluty cannot be the focus of the drabble.
-Certain challanges have certain rules. So read the challange posts all the way through thoroughly.
-Said it before, will say it again: You may post no more than 10 drabbles for each challange. After the 10 mark, we will start deleting posts. We're glad for your enthusiasm, but there has to be a reasonable amount for the readers to work with.
-Also said it before, but there are two rules pertaining to lj-cuts: If your drabble contains material of the realms of R and NC-17, or if you are posting more than two drabbles, all your work must be put under lj-cuts. The mods will smack a bitch.
5. Word Count Rules
Title and header don't count. "Little words" like 'a' or 'and' or 'the' do. If there's a hyphen, it's one word. We suggest the power of the almighty MS Word word counter. It works pretty damn well.
6. Archiving
Mods will be archiving peices, unless on the post there is a specific request for us not to. We will archive everything by author's username, challange, characters, and rating. If you do not complete a full header, we can't archive your peice, and you'll screw with our groove. This will not please the mods, so take care that you fill out the subject line and the body correctly.
