| About: | Welcome to "Bonny Tyme Pyrates," the Cross-Era DIY Fashion Community! This community was started by the WillowTech House lifestyle label, founder of the BTP fashion. We wanted to create a place for others interested in cross-era dressing to share their thoughts, wares, pics, ideas, tips, links, and general fluffy goodness.
What is BTP Fashion?
"BTP" is all about cross-era dressing, but it's also a bit of an experiment in how quickly a small group of people can create an international trend (think EGL, GLA, etc.), and you can be at it's forefront. "BTP" is a philosophy of dress, not merely a style of garment. "BTP" involves nabbing elements from any and all eras and bringing them together to create a brand new look. Think of it as fashion time travel. Take bits from Medieval times and stitch them to something Romantic, and then glue it all to something punk. See how many periods you can pirate from in one outfit. Create some ensembles, get your friends to do the same, and write "BTP" on your arm in sharpie. The use of Old English spelling signifies the trend's leanings towards antiquity. And "Bonny"? Well, that just means you'll want to kiss your reflection in the bathroom mirror, because we value the courage it takes to be pretty these days. So go on, help spread the word about "BTP", and be a fashion pioneer!

You can advertise your "BTP" auctions or sales.
You can simply chat and enjoy some interaction with creative and like-minded people.

You may not post off topic or your post will be deleted. (*See related topics below*)
You may not fight with other members or be offensive in any way. (Respect.)
You may not post large images without an lj-cut. (Maximum allowed size is 450 x 450 pixels. Larger images must be placed behind an lj-cut. If you have several pictures to post, you may post ONE image on the main page, but we ask you to please place the rest of the images behind an lj-cut regardless of size.)
You may not post auctions unrelated to "BTP" fashion.
You may not post LONG auction lists or numerous images from your auctions. (Keep the board pretty please!)
You may not advertise the same item or auction multiple times.
What happens if you don't mind the community rules? Well, you'll get your right eye bitten out, you won't get any hot buttered rum, and you might even get banned depending upon the severity of the offense and how many times it has been committed. Posts that don't follow the simply stated guidelines will be deleted without warning - sorry, but we just don't have the time to discuss the issue with every person who attempts to promote their Dressbarn auctions in the wrong place.
A note on *RELATED TOPICS*! We're reasonable and fun-loving ladies and chaps who enjoy a bit of natural cross-pollenation. In other words, feel free to post on things that touch upon or are in some way related to "BTP."
