Hey.

I've been noticing a lot of NSFW user-icons. I thought it would go without saying for someone to remember to change their icon if it is NSFW (especially when you have to declare NSFW when making a post). I was wondering if this could be addressed? Because I'm not a huge fan of scrolling through a supposedly SFW post and seeing someone's icon be a penis or some sexual situation when I should be in a "safe" post.
...I don't know if this made much sense, I hope it did.

Completely understandable response, and thanks for not shouting me down and making me feel small. My workplace is extremely liberal (being that there are only two of us there), but the boss happened to be in town and was laughing at the page with me until he saw an icon with balls, and he was no longer laughing.

I don't have internet at my house, so it's basically the only time I check out the community, and since there were rules about NSFW and SFW, I thought I'd ask about icons, since it seemed sort of dumb to me for someone to actually use a NSFW icon in a SFW post. But then again, I've noticed...sometimes the community isn't bringing out the smartest in people.

I tried to make a post, but it was denied because of a repost as well as hotlinking a picture from a news website. This was my first time trying to post an entry, and I apologize for the mistake.

like the above poster, I just got my posting abilities revoked because I accidentally linked to myspace images. this was NOT my first post in the community, i'm an active member and i am aware of the rules... i just slipped up and posted my entry pretty quickly without thinking about it.

i completely understand the reason for taking action to prevent people from repeatedly breaking rules, but i can honestly say that i think it's a little bit extreme. i think that some rules (like reposting images, especially ones that we've all seen reposted dozens of times) are far more worthy of this post-banning.

Probably not the most important question in the world, but if a person's user icon is very NSFW, doesn't that sort of negate marking a post NSFW?

Is there a reason I was denied membership? I'm 21 (it says so on my profile), and I'm able to view adult content. As far as I can tell, those are the only two conditions required to be accepted.

Hey, my post got denied and I now can't post on badtattoos. One of my coworkers got on my lj and posted from there and had not read the rules. I have a post that I would like to make on their behalf that follows all the rules. It would be great if I could but I understand completely if you do not wish to allow me back as a member.

I've got some tattoos that I wanna post to the journal but somehow the journal isn't giving me the post option, why is that? Is it because I submitted something before that got rejected, one being the lizard man that had been posted (how though? It's my own photograph)

I posted several in the post submissions for compilation posts. Three, I think? Several compilations have been posted since then but not the ones I posted, and the comments I left were not commented on saying yes or no in the submission page.

Hi Mods,
I submitted a post the other day which was rejected cause I hotlinked (ooops). I stuck them on my photobucket to repost, but I can't seem to find bt_4 in my list of communities. Have my posting rights been revoked? can I get them unrevoked if they are please?
