I'm here to update all you peeps on Ball State's Anime Club.
Our first meeting will be on this sunday, August 30th, in room 303 of the Student Center at 6pm.
Shuttle Buses will be running by then so it'll be easier to arrive there. They run until 11pm on Sundays.
The first meeting will involve voting for what series you would like to watch during the semester out of the predetermined list.
Club ends around 9:30.
Also, an important announcement. The club requests member dues of $5 a semester to have your vote count. You'll all be getting an email repeating most of this stuff soon as a reminder. Hope to see you all at club!

Sunday Jan 11, 2009: Hey everybody, hope you had a great winter break and a happy wintermas celebration of choice.
The first meeting of this semester will be 6:00 tonight, student center multipurpose room.
( that's the big one in the basement next to the bowling alley)
This meeting will be primarily social, so bring food, games, random stuff you want to show, etc. call it a new year's party or something. ^_0

Hey everybody- it's been a great first semester, despite some technical hitches here and there.
I'm glad to announce that our last meeting of the year, this sunday, will be back in the pit- also known as the student center multipurpose room on the basement level by the bowling alley.
We'll be finishing off gurren lagann and watching one of the futurama movies, or whatever presents itself.
we will be ordering pizza, so it would be very appreciated if people would donate drinks/desserts etc.

-T-shirt designs have been voted on, and will be produced on kiwi green gildan shirts with brown ink.
- working on a roster of shows for next semester. if you have suggestions, please email bsujas2[at]yahoo[dawt]com or come to the friday evening manager's meetings, 5 o clock in the student center.
- christmas party will be coming up shorter than you think, so start looking for christmassy things to watch. |

Dr. horrible sing-a-long showing/ halloween costume contest is tonight at pruis hall, 7:30 pm. doors open at 7. we've got some interesting stuff planned, so we hope to see you there!
-no prepackaged costumes in the costume contest, but feel free to dress up anyway.
don't forget that this sunday is our halloween party, so bring candy, drinks, and a costume to get first shot at the pinata.
shirt designs are also due this sunday. if you don't have it at the halloween party, it's not in the running. |

Costume Contest & Dr. Horrible 10/25/08- Annual costume contest accompanied by a sing-along showing of Dr. Horrible's sing-along blog
- costumes are encouraged for all
- costumes entered must be street appropriate, not store bought (thrifted/significantly modified is fine), and yuou must be able to sit in it.

I hope people enjoyed their summer and are gearing up to return to school and, of course, their friends at the JAS.
We're planning for the Activity Fair, Saturday august 23 from 6-8 pm. We hope to see many new faces there and get people acquainted with the club.
We will also be providing tablespace for information about our campus' game of Humans vs. Zombies, so be sure to ask us about it!
The first General meeting of the year will be sunday august 31st, location TBA. Meetings after that will be every sunday at 6pm in Student Center room 305. They've started rennovations on the student center, so watch the dust and be aware your normal routes may be blocked. The food court will be unavailable as well, so for those used to grabbing food before the meeting, plan ahead.
Our first Manager's meeting will be friday the 29th at 5 pm in the cube farm behind the student art gallery in the student center. As always, everyone is welcome, not just the exec board. We will be finalizing the showing options and we still need a laptop for showing non-commercial dvds, etc.

JAS has a few events coming up for the spring:
March 22,2008:</a> Our next movie showing- Godzilla meets Kimba The white Lion. We'll be showing a double feature of the original kaiju monster movie and the osamu tezuka classic at 7:30, pruis hall. doors open at 7:00.

Pruis Hall Showing
JAS is proud to present The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.
When 17-year-old Makoto Konno gains the ability to, quite literally, "leap" backwards through time, she immediately sets about improving her grades and preventing personal mishaps. However, she soon realises that changing the past isn't as simple as it seems, and eventually, will have to rely on her new powers to shape the future of herself and her friends.
We wil be showing it for free Saturday February 2, 7:30 at Pruis Hall. |

Nov 26 2007: We have finished several series and will be using the open spots to preview series for next semester.
Make sure to come to club so that you like the lineup next semester!
T-shirts are 12$, you must prepay by Dec. 2nd. (NEXT SUNDAY).
Joe will be running a specialty showing the first week of december.
We will most likely not be having a dedicated christmas party. |

Domos trip is Fri, September 7th; can range from about 10$ to over fifty, so budget accordingly. we meet at 5:30 in the cube.
Pruis Hall is sept. 15th we will be showing Paprika and a shorter item TBA.
