The Best of the Month returns!
In our User Info there's a section about Best of the Month voting. I have no idea how long it's been since the community actually did this - I know it hasn't been done since I joined, at the very least! Well, miravisu and I would like to revive it, though in a slightly different form.

Our current idea is that, in the non-spoiler category, the winning First Place icons for the past four challenges will automatically be eligible for the award, which should give us a minimum of eight icons to choose from (more in the case of ties for first place). Since there are only half as many spoiler icons, the Best of the Month voting for Challenge 3 would only take place every eight challenges instead of every four.

We hope that this will work well, especially as there's very little extra time and effort involved on your parts - just one extra round of voting every month or two, and the chance of an extra-shiny banner for the winner :) If everything goes well, we would also like to do a Best of the Year vote, picking from the past Best of the Month winners, but that's far in the future so we won't worry about it too much quite yet!

Does this sound good to everyone? Anyone forsee any problems that we need to address before we begin? I hope it will be fun for everyone to recognize and celebrate some of the very best icons that our members have created!
