AboutWeekly fic challenges to get your juices flowing. BSG1000 is a weekly fic challenge group based loosely on the Smallville and Lost (and a bazillion other) weekly 100 drabble challenge communities. The new topic for the week will be posted Friday 11pmish (or as soon after that as I get around to it.) Submissions must be 1000 words in length, + or - 100. I won't be an ass about this, but do try to keep it to the proper length. While I like flash fiction, it just isn't as satisfying to me as a decent length scene, and 1000 words felt right to me.
Please LJ cut your fic, and be scrupulous about noting spoilers for unaired-in-north-america episodes. All ratings/pairings/topics welcome, but be sure to post the ratings. Submissions for the previous week's challenge will be due by the next Friday, at 10pm. All submissions may be archived at the BSG1000 archive (under construction), unless otherwise noted. If you manage to get your story to exactly 1000 words, you may award a cigar to the character of your choice (feel free to say why), and the winner for that week will be announced during the following week's new challenge. Enjoy writing, and I look foreward to reading your stuff.
