And I loved it!
But since that's basically all I can say without spoiling people, let's skip to the lj-cut, yeah?
( 100X SPOILERS FOR THE DARK KNIGHT! ONLY CLICK IF YOU WANT TO BE SPOILED OR HAVE SEEN THE MOVIE!!! )
Oh, by the way, for those of you still following my fic updates, I just wrote the next chapter of "The Third Option" (Ha! Bet you thought I forgot about that story!) and I'm just busy waiting for a beta at the moment.

Recs! As I read ALL of The Dark Knight fic out there at the DarkKnightFic (if I tell you how many members we have now, you won't believe this --- 500 by the end of the weekend, Y/Y?). Purely personal preferences for the right Joker and Batman voices and a wicked turn of phrase.
I love far, far more fics than below but these would be top choices for you, dear flist. For those who are not familiar with this fandom's ficdom, some of these have disturbing themes but no more than the movie itself. Hidden under the cut for spoilers.
WHERE IS THE SNEAKY SHAKYCAM FOOTAGE OF WATCHMEN AND WOLVERINE FROM COMICON, BEYOTCHES? I want my Jeff and Taylor fixes, all the recaps I've read say the room went apeshit for Gambit - KNEW Taylor would knock it out of the park, nomnomnom!
I'd settle for peekchurs like diss:
Yay for pretty Jeff! Me and Cherry just finished Jensen/Jeff/Katie Heigl, that's hot shit, yo. (PEE-ESS: Jeff and J2 at the same ComicCon = not a coincidence x EXCUSE FOR PORN! *cracks whip*)
I FINALLY saw the Dark Knight yest, too, in an entirely sold out cinema crammed with uber geeks just like me! \o/ And we all clapped at the end, bwahaha. And yes, I was totally wearing my D&G Batman jeans and hoodie, because I AM THAT COOL. Now I'mma have to scroll back through like, a week's worth of entries to find all the reaction posts from you bastards who got to see it in America. GOD, it was worth the wait though - gonna have to go rooting through my ridiculous boxes of comics and gorge myself in old-school geekery. Aaron Eckhart is my new god, seriously, and HEATH. GAH. Perfection. I'm going to see it again on Sunday, methinks, then maybe next Weds - AS MANY TIMES AS I CAN WITH COMPLETE STRANGERS OFF THE STREET IF I HAVE TO.
Had a job interview today, but I don't want to jinx it since apparently my Odeon thing is destined to never pay off and my application never got there (proving that just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they're not after me - I was worrying that it wouldn't the whole time I was in Tenerife, damn British postal service) so y'know, good thoughts, because if I don't get this, I really sincerely doubt I'll be able to get to Eyecon, so y'know - kinda desperate now.
Am also getting mum hooked on Dark Angel, bwahaha. Forgot how very different and achingly Alec-free s1 is - WOE. Am holding out for Pollo Loco though.
Yes, this post was pretty much pointless and all about getting me the TAYLOR. *grabby hands*
+ New Gossip Girl promos!!! Eee! I can't handle this excitement today. First the Guy backstage video making me want it to be September already and then these promos! I can't be this patient. But seriously I really love the promos, they give just enough away to make you want to watch and are really catchy with the fast bits in between the scenes. This doesn't feel like it's trying too hard to be outrageous the way the still ads do.
+ And Chuck/Blair are going to rock season two. Or atleast I really hope so. I'm still a bit warey after the crapfest of post-strike episodes, but i hope season two will go back to early-season one type stuff.
+ I watched the period drama, Northanger Abbey yesterday after I remembered that
lovekissed recommended it a while back and i've been in my period drama mood. It was pretty cute. I thought the lead Katherine was adorable, and her and Mr. Tilney were so cute, especially their kiss when they finally admit they love each other and he asks her to marry him.
+ I sent my first draft of my dissertation to my supervisor today. I have to go and see him on Tuesday so i'm just going to try and relax this weekend and spend some time with my baby brothers. I miss spending time with them.
+ It's been so hot these past few days! I love the summer, but I hate it too because i'm just not used to it!! I think it's going to be hot all weekend.
+ Oh Hollyoaks, i'm so sad that Ste/Amy are over right now. I know it's terrible what he does to her but I can't help loving them when they're happy. And ugh I hate Mike Barnes!! Firstly he tries to act all loving and concerened asking "why didn't you come to me?" when she did come to him once and he didn't open the door on purpose! He left her outside pounding on the door! And then beating up Ste, he should know better because whatever Ste did, beating him like his step dads used to do is why Ste is the way he is to start with! I'm not excusing Ste at all, but I can't help love him and Amy and hate Mike and Sarah.
+ OMG GUY IS COMING BACK TO HO SOOON!!! Umm, yes, I needed to reiterate that for the 100th time! Hee. I cannot wait!

So hell yeah, the first thing I did when I woke up this morning was go see the new X-Files movie! Mulder and Scully! Back on my screen after six years! I've got priorities after all! ( But hey! WTF WAS THAT? ) All that said, if they did another movie, I'd go watch it in a heartbeat because when it was awesome, it was AWE.SOME.

Oh my god, I hate Lily's S2 hair. MAKE IT GO AWAAAAAAY.
On the other hand, seeing Barney trying to prove to Ted's parents that he is the Most Important Person in Ted's life? HILARIOUS. And also, gay.
Them: So, what's your name anyway?and instantly think, "Man, that sounds like something Barney would say when trying to get into a girl's pants!"
You: Well, I do suppose it depends on who you ask. You know how people are these days, going by so many titles. There are names and nicknames and professional titles and pen names. My own grandfather has four different names! And I don't mean semantics like "grandpa" or "grandad" - real, legalized names!
Where can I find animated Katy Perry icons (I kissed a girl)? Or anyone who would make some for me??? I just saw that vid and heard the song for the first time and I´m in love :D
I'm going to be okay.
I am strong enough, I'm going to make it through, I am a remarkable person.
It's your loss that you aren't going to be around to see the person I will become; that you aren't a part of my life any longer.
Thank you for the lessons you taught me.
Thank you for making me stronger.
Thank you for showing me your true colors.
And most of all, thank you for making me appreciate the ones who stay.
- When pissed off, always watch Pushing Daisies. It works so well, heeeeeee :D This show makes me happy with all the pretty colours and good feelings. I LOVE IT.
- My parents are going away tomorrow. So I'll be able to take pics from the picture memes :D YAY FOR SOME FREEDOM.
- I'll be away all day tomorrow (going there, it's a fun fair with several european countries featured, and specialities from everywhere), but since I want something to look forward to when I come back, could you do this for me?
Pick a fictional character from a fandom I know and I'll answer the following questions:
01) What is your opinion of this character? If you like, explain why you like him/her. Likewise if you dislike the character.
02) Is he/she important to the general plot?
03) Can you relate to this character at all? Do they grip you emotionally?
04) How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?
05) Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by their relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic)
06) Is there anything about the character you would change?
07) If you were in the fandom with this character or knew this character in real life, how do you see yourself interacting with him/her? (Would you get along well? Fall in love with? Dislike? Friendly rivalry? etc etc)
08) Does this character make the cut as one of your all time favorites (if you like) or least favorites?
09) Would you hype up this character (if you like) or warn about (if you dislike) to someone whose new to the fandom?
10) Is this character popular with the fanbase?
I think you all know pretty much what my fandoms are, so just ask away. It can be any character, from those I talk about a lot to those I rarely mention!! SPAM ME!
- Despite all the good stuff I've heard about it, the season 2 of The Tudors have proved to be very disappointing. Or maybe it's just the historical inaccuracies that have started to get to me. On the same note, I tried to watch Rome, but wow, boring much? I think I'll stick to my history books.
- I buy too many books. When people buy clothes, or chocolate, or CDs, I buy books. In a very compulsive manner. And now, I need some recs. I'll read anything. I'm in a big "fantasy/sci fi/fantastic" roll, so I'll take anything you've got in that kind, but anything else would be good too. Especially modern stuff. Or LONG BOOKS WITH EPIC STORY PLEASE, it's the best kind.
- Don't forget the Pictures Meme, kk? *puppy eyes (that will get me anywhere)*
- How Melanie got kicked out of the house for three days at a crucial time in August:

Weekend, finally! Things at work this week were like a million times better, even though I went in Saturday for more overtime (woo!) but luckily my days off were shifted so even though I get overtime for Saturday, I only worked a five day week. Good show. That and even though this week I was all tired and cranky and a little bit sick (it was the anniversary of my sexual assault, so obvs I'm never in the best mood this time of year, and then add on to that the fact that I feel sick for like a half an hour after I eat ANYTHING for the entire week, well... it was not the best week.) this week, it still was not anywhere near as bad as it could be, and all the pics and managers I normally work with were basically bending over backwards for me which was also really nice.
Today was kind of exhausting though, because it's the second time in the past week that I closed pizza without a midshift, and that is tiring. Last week my midshift called in sick, Today... well, the midshift I have the most trouble with quit today. I'm kind of sad to see him go because he's a nice guy, but at the same time, he was hard to work with and this means either me or the guy I work the best with (the one until recently was the only other person who knew how to close pizza, I just trained another guy last week, but yeah.) is going to be the new pizza midshift, which is excellent. I'm honestly happy either way, because I'll be working a lot more pizza, and with someone who I really enjoy working with. Unless the guy who quit's girlfriend gets it, which... I love her to pieces, but she's been such a pain to work pizza with ever since my ONE WEEK of two midshift pizza shifts. She was all like, "why did Kati get it?" and it's like, UH BECAUSE THE PIZZA COOK WHO LEFT LAST RECOMMENDED MY ASS, OKAY? (and maybe it was only because he wanted to sleep with my ass, but... DOUBTFUL.) And I didn't even really get it, I was just filling in while your boyfriend trained the ACTUAL new pizza cook. Ugh. This is all just really ridic and drama filled and kind of confusing for everyone I explain it to. But basically most of the people who are causing drama are leaving, sooooo! Although there are also most excellent homeslices that are leaving too, so sad. :( Soon I will have no homeslices left. Then I know it is time to quit and go back to writing full time.
Although I should find a copy of Word to install on Ginger before then, otherwise everything will be written in GoogleDocs, and I do not think that is the best way to work on a novel.

The Comic-Con fanboys still fail at life, for I have no hotass Taylor/Gambit footage to share, no matter how long I trawl the interwebs looking for it. I do however have a hilarious video of David Boreanaz talking about Bones and Philly sports and Comic-Con and being his sexass, dorky self from EW.com (how much do I love that the interviewer is obviously a total fangirl - represent!). And clearly more people need to slash him and Jensen for me, plz. I'm just pissed I was too late to stalk him and Emily around London when they came over here to film the s4 opener - bad fangirl!
Also, if anyone finds my writing mojo, please scold it for going AWOL for so long and send it back to me post-haste, for serious. The BBAU is gathering dust in the dark recesses of my mind and all I want to do is write evil, twisty Dean-in-Hell fic and porny Jensen threesomes. Alas, I can do NONE OF IT because my muse has deserted me. I'm also very horny. Don't know if the two are related, but there you go.
Was also considering uploading Batman Unmasked: The Psychology of the Dark Knight that aired on the History channel recently - it has clippage of TDK so I didn't watch it 'til I'd seen the movie, but I love the shows THC does to analyse and explore aspects of characters, they did it with mythology and religion in Star Wars after RotS came out - trés fascinating. Don't know if any of you are hardcore Batgeeks like me, but I figure the movie has probably spawned a lot more fans now! This is the blurb from history.com: Delve into the world of Batman and the vigilante justice that he brought to the city of Gotham. Batman is a man who, after experiencing great tragedy, devotes his life to an ideal--but what happens when one man takes on the evil underworld alone? Examine why Batman is who he is--and explore how a boy scarred by tragedy becomes a symbol of hope to everyone else. So let me know if you're interested in an upload; it's about 45 mins long and has psychological evaluations of a lot of Batman's Rogues Gallery too.
Otherwise I might be tempted to upload the Squirting 101 porn video I have that features my favouritest Tegan Presley before her nose job. Hot shit, yo, considering I always thought squirting was a myth to make watersports sound less gross. *snort*
Now I go finish my Dark Angel marathon! Boy do I wanna suck on Alec's lip...
