Community Demographics Survey
      [info]dativesingular
We've recently become aware that there's a hell of a lot we don't know about other as a community - which isn't all that surprising, given the size of the community and its active membership, to be honest, but it'd be nice to rectify it at least a little. There are also a few trends that we've all probably assumed about the community membership (gender, politics, age and what-have-you), that it'd be interesting to verify one way or the other.

Or, to put it another way - we're nosey bitches; Fill out the survey.

(if you want to)

If you don't want to answer a question, skip it. None of them are mandatory.

My name is [info]deke and, as a moderate, I am ambivalent towards ponies.

I'm also a former exchange student to Wales looking for more friends (and possibly a Very Good Friend) in the UK because I hope to one day have enough points to qualify as a Highly Skilled Immigrant.

My name is [info]tea_and_vinyl and I like chocolate covered biscuits, hats, and going to markets for weird knick-knacks. I can juggle, sort of. I'm going back to England in six months!

Sorry for the inexcusable lameness of my post.

I finally go to England to study abroad in Spring 2008 and I am already counting the days!

The only question I had problems with was the political one, as I am aware that "Liberal" means different things in the two countries! I belonged to the Liberal party when it was still a separate entity, and that's the politics I align myself with - such as a preference for co-ownership of firms; but I have no idea what (if any) the American equivalent of that would be.

What, no "have parents from both sides of the Atlantic" as an option for #10?

Other than that, hi, I'm [info]theempathogen and I'll be in England in six days. I can't decide whether to call Britain or Japan "the holy land." I have a serious soft spot for British Nihonphiles that love electronic music. Yoroshiku, ne.

I'm [info]rethought and I like ponies, but not mucking stalls.

I love this community when something useful is posted, even when it provokes heated debate.

I hate when things are posted that have no useful value with the sole purpose of causing heated debate.

I don't like or dislike ponies, I do however love warm weather. How unfortunate for me there is a blizzard outside.

I'm a Brit, I have lots of on-line friends, some of whom are American. I got fascinated by the differences/similarities between the two cultures, so hang around here to learn more.

Oh, and I re-enact the American Civil War, which is a third culture again :)

Been to the USA once, for a two-week holiday. Going again in May! Yes, all excited!

Ponies? I think there's some in a field I pass on the way to work.... leg at each corner, one end bites the other end drops mess, right?
