Hi everyone
I have a shoe size of around 10 to 11 womens sizes, and I need some new shoes. Nice ones.
Heels, flats, boots, anything, as long as it's around 10.5 in size...
does anyone have any recommendations for stores, preferably around the city, that would stock things like that?

Any help appreciated. | |

I'm sure people probably get sick of these types of posts but I'd love some personal recommendations from people.
For my birthday next month I'd like to organise for about 10 friends and myself to go somewhere in the city for dinner. I'd like somewhere that we can get dressed up for but is somewhere that doesn't have a totally formal atmosphere and reasonable priced meals e.g. average price of mains $25-$30.
I've never been to Jade Buddha so that's what I have in mind at the moment so it would be great to get people's opinions about there or other places in the city that I might not have heard about.
Thanks in advance :) | |

Ok guys - I need to book dinner for 5 people on Thurs night and I have a real hankering for Italian. Except to date I haven't found GOOD Italian food in Brisbane. Any suggestions?? It has to be around/in the City, New Farm, Toowong, St Lucia, Indro, Milton etc... the usual suburbs I ask about!
Thanks! | |

Hi everyone
I'm looking for a lawyer who understands designers or works in the creative industries to read over and give advice on a draft contract I have written up for the freelance design work I do. Location isn't a problem and brownie points for anyone who can find a cheap one (unlikely I know, but I am a poor student). I seem to recall this may have been asked on this comm before but I've gone through the tags and couldn't find it so apologies if I've created a double.
Thanks in advance! | |

My lovers, I was hoping if you could help me like you have done so many times in the past. I'm after a pair of shoes that are of similiar style to a pair I had a few years ago. In the 90s they were fairly popular but I have yet to see a pair since. I'm hoping someone in this community isn't as retarded as much I am in regards to "fashion" and has some idea of of the name of the style i'm after or better yet knows of a place where I can acquire such a shoe. Under the LJ Cut is an MS paint picture of what i'm after, unfortunately I took some artistic license (and tbh i'm crap at using MS paint) but hopefully it'll give you all some idea of the style. I'm willing to travel almost anywhere in Brisbane as Doc's are a pain in the ass to skate in. ( Crappy MS Paint image for your enjoyment )

Hey everyone, I'm selling two bed side tables as they're way too big for my tiny room. They're only a year old and in good condition. One has a scratch on the top and I'm happy to email a photo of the scratch. I'm asking $60 for the two Height: 51cm Width: 60cm Length: 40cm Easiest pick up is from Capalaba but I spend a fair bit of time at the Boy's house in West End so that can also be arranged. Leave a comment here or email me at eliza.carmen@gmail.com -Diz

Hello!
We are looking at getting pet birds to keep in a large aviary. I was wondering if there are any sites where you can adopt/rescue birds? I have looked at petrescue.com.au and rspca (where I found a turkey which I would have loved to adopt but my husband suggested I would need re-homing if I adopted a fully grown turkey). Does anyone have any suggestions of sites or places to look at?
Thank you :) | |

There are 2 tickets available to 9.30pm Gold Class screening at Garden City (Brisbane) for wed (15th july) for Harry Potter.
If there is anyone who wants them or knows of anyone who may want them, shout out.
Thanks.

Okay, I'm hoping you guys can help. I'm looking for Aluminium Foil Tape, in at least a width of 40mm, and I need at LEAST 10 metres, but I'm happy to buy a roll of 20-50 metres.
I've gone to Bunnings, called another Bunnings, called electrical shops and EVERY time I've been treated like a moron and told it doesn't exist, even when I explain what it's for and that I know it exists.
Basically, I'm pissed off and need the stuff, so if you guys can help, let me know! Either shops where you know it's available, or if you have a roll you don't need. I'd prefer not to buy it online if possible, but will if I have no choice.
Thanks! | |

Hi, I'm thinking of opening a hair salon in the valley or paddington - authentic vintage cuts, colours and sets. Victory rolls, middy cuts, rockabilly pomps, betty bangs and flapper fingerwaves. Would you come???

Does anyone know where to get a movie saver card for the Myer Centre/Regent? I found some at the start of the year in one of the 'city' magazines but that expired at the end of June. Anybody seen them anywhere?
I know they're hard to come by and no, I don't live in the city so I can't get one in the post.

Hi there, Brisneylanders. Newbie here. My friend has been searching around Brisbane for a giant toy fish. Preferable similar to this, but not necessary. I don’t think she particularly minds what it’s made of. It would be nice if it was rubber, but inflatable etc. is welcomed. It just has to be BIG, as in shoulder width or longer. Thanks in advance.

So, when and why, exactly, did the Myers at Coorparoo close? And... Why hasn't anything been done with it? (Additionaly, has anyone noticed that lights come off and on in the upper stories?)

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anybody knew of a cheapish dentist? Anywhere?
It's just for a general check up, but I would love to do it fairly soon (which is why the UQ dental school is a little out of the question)

We're going to move from the unit rented by us now to the bigger house. We've already found people wishing to move in this unit. Is it possible to come with them to the agent, to include them into tenancy agreement and then to exclude us, therefore avoiding breaking lease penalties? I don't wanna pay the penalty because there were us who found the new tenants. Has anybody tried to break the lease by this way? What will happen with the bond paid by us?

Hey everyone, this may be a silly question, but I'm planning on catching a bus home tonight (it's one of those NightLink ones?). I've heard that they have security guards on those buses and they only drop you off in well-light places, but does anyone know if I can ask the driver to drop me off outside my house? The day-time equivalent of that bus has a bus stop outside my street or I can get off at another stop at the shops. Both stops are about a 5 minute walk home and both require me to walk through dark back streets or down the shady end of my street. If the bus driver actually drops me outside my house (or near, whatever), he/she will only have to turn right at the end of the street and he/she will get to the bus stop at the shops anyway. It'll probably only add another minute that the driver has to spend on the roads but at least the driver will know that I got home safely? SO, I'm just asking if anybody has had a driver drop them off in a more convenient place at night, or knows if a driver has bent the rules for an elderly or a disabled person, and if the driver could be able to do it tonight? Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks :)

So for the sake of a spoof present, I needs to get me a raccoon hat. Yunno, the furry little ones with the tail swinging down from behind, in an adult size. Checked Ebay and whatnot, most are located in the US and I'd like to see if I can find something closer to home. Anyone got any idea if somewhere in Brisbane stocks them? Faux-fur is great, not after the real deal. ( Too Clarify... )Many thanks for any help!

Hey guys. I'm trying to find a stockist of a Japanese/English electronic translator, preferably something like the Ectaco ones. Dick Smith sell one by Franklin that does 10 languages, but I'd prefer one that specialises in Japanese. I can buy various ones online, but would prefer to look at them in store but I have no idea where to start looking.
edit: After some pretty heavy googling I can't seem to get many results other than for the Franklin ones which Dick Smith and Tandy seem to sell. So has anyone purchased one of these before? Are they reasonably good?
OR does anyone have an ectaco itravl they'd like to sell?
Thanks :) | |
