| About: |  Welcome to Brink Of Love, the first and only Teddy community on Livejournal! Formely two separate communities (whatteddywhere & lovehimforthat), BoL became the love child of those two when they formed into one. Here at BoL we try to keep you as up to date as we can on the latest Teddy news as well as promote the hell out of him! It was a commune really which I understand were quite popular at the time. I went to school in London until I was thirteen then I went to boarding school in Hampshire. We had concerts there every term called JFP, (Jazz,Folk & Poetry ) - an antiquated acronym since it had become mostly rock bands. Anyway, me and some friends formed one of these rock bands and that was my first performing experience. I moved back to London a few years later to finish school and then at 18 I moved to LA. I lounged about in LA for a couple of years doing silly day jobs, then I started writing more and doing some gigs, mostly at Largo. I recorded some demos, blah,blah,blah , did some more shows, yada,yada,yada - got a record deal. I made my first record in LA with Joe Henry producing and a few guests to try and impress people - Emmylou Harris, Rufus Wainwright and my dad, Richard Thompson. It's quite good. Hopefully I'll be starting the new one soon. I realise this is brief but I feel stupid talking about myself. You try writing your own Bio, it's very strange." A singer/songwriter of the folk rock genre, he offers the total package to fans with his heartfelt lyrics and aching melodies.
