"Fans not ready to let Women's Murder Club die"

The first cancellation rumors started to fly in January; briefly after the last pre-strike episode had been aired. Fans didn't hesitate, and the Hershey Kisses Campaign in honor of the Kiss Me Not killer storyline was born:

Now that Women's Murder Club isn't on ABC's fall schedule, while shows with lesser overall ratings are, we are doubling our efforts.

The 'Save Women's Murder Club' site lists all the places to go, where to send letters and emails, the petitions to sign.

We feel like Women's Murder Club never had the chance to unfold its potential to attract viewers for multiple reasons, including the writer's strike, or lately, a timeslot where it was up against NBC's 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit' which naturally is better known and attracts the same demographic.

But if ABC doesn't listen and doesn't realize the potential of this show, maybe another network will. In addition to our efforts regarding ABC, we are sending postcards to Lifetime to ask them to pick up Women's Murder Club.

In the end, we're hoping for TV execs to make a decision that allows this extraordinary show to stay on the air and that respects the characters in a way that we, the fans, do.

I say we could send more Kisses with more letters, not just to ABC, but maybe we can send letters (plus the Kisses) to LifeTime and Oxygen, also [Rumor has it that they were going to make Cindy/Jill canon {meaning it actually happens on the actual show...for however long, doesn't matter}; so, if that was even remotely even a possiblity, I say we send LOGO some letters/Hershey's Kisses expressing our interest in them [however, I'll have to find someone willing to "provide" the episodes to me, as being in Oklahoma-USA prevents me from getting LOGO, Damn Bigots] obtaining the rights to WMC and producing/airing new episodes with Cindy/Jill as canon and/or suggest that Cindy/Lindsay and/or Cindy/Claire [as Claire and her husband ended the 'season 1' in some marital trouble!] ;) gargyloveswolfy


WMC is currently not on ABC's 2008-2009 Fall/Mid-Season/and-or replacement schedule. That doesn't mean it never will be...we can still get it back!!

We all know that fans are not totally powerless. We've heard about and seen how fans brought their favorite shows back, and it's not totally impossible.
