| About: | This is a group for sufferers of mental illness, as well as friends and family of sufferers. This is a place where you can vent, look for support or advice, or even just find others that are like yourself. We aren't limited to any one particular form of mental illness, so all are welcome. We won't judge you, we're here to help. The only rules are: 1.) No fighting. Please, I know that we can get emotional here and things may get tense, but try to avoid it. 2.) Don't judge others on their actions. We've all done things we regret, but it's no reason to hold something against someone. 3.) Don't make things up to try to make yourself look worse off than you actually are. This is for real life problems, not ones that don't exist. This is an important one, please respect it. 4.) Respect the other members. 5.) If you are a compulsive liar, please at least be honest with us. What you lie about to other people we won't judge you for, but all we ask is that you don't lie to us. Other than that, you have free range to post what you like. You are also free to post any poetry or artwork you've done that's been inspired by your affliction. However, if you post something that may be triggering to some (such as razors are to cutters), please put it behind an lj cut. You can still post it, don't feel censored, it's just a way of giving fair warning to some who might not feel stable enough at the time to view such material. Also, this group is also welcome to those with eating disorders of all sorts, as they are very closely linked with mental disorders, and technically are forms of them. Don't feel afraid to reach out for help about those here. :) Anyway, once you become a member, feel free to post a bit about yourself and let us get to know you.
