At 10:40 AM today it will be three years since....











In Memory of my Earthgirl
and "Mother of Pride"
Brenda Howard

December 24, 1946 - June 28, 2005


Today we remember what happend at the Stonewall Inn in NYC as "Pride day", but you might also remember [info]brendahoward, "Mother of Pride" and bisexual activist, who coordinated the first month anniversary rally and then the "Christopher Street Gay Liberation Day March" on June 28, 1970 to commemorate the first year anniversary of the Stonewall Rebellion.

She passed away Three year ago today, from Colon cancer.

i WAS FRIENDS WITH Brenda at Syosset High, In fact she lived with me and my family for a while in her senior year when she was having problems with her parents.After high school I lost touch with her but through the miracle of computors she came up on my screen today. I was happy to hear how fulfilled her life was and how well loved she was.

I was Brenda's partner from the last few years of her life.

I hope there are other things you can tell us about her life so we can add it to the time line on her web page [http://brendahoward.org] specially any pictures would be great [maybe the one from the year book, if you still have it].
