Sienna Miller has won an apology from a top New York newspaper - after they added to her list of famous ex-boyfriends.

The New York Times linked 'Serial Miller' to Sean Coombes and the late Heath Ledger, both of whom were simply friends.

Sienna has a reputation for enjoying high-profile relationships and has previously dated Jude Law, Rhys Ifans and Balthazar Getty.

But the paper added to her well-documented relationship history.

It later apologised: 'An article... about Sienna Miller misstates the nature of the relationships that she had with Heath Ledger and Sean Combs. She was friends with both of them; she did not have romantic flings with either of them.'

The 27-year-old is set to take to the New York stage alongside Jonny Lee Miller in After Miss Julie.

'This is what I have always wanted, to be on Broadway,' she told the paper. 'I’m living my dream, and that’s all you can ask for. At a certain point you have to ignore all the rest.'

But despite enjoying the experience, Sienna is working hard.

'I underestimated that a play like this requires incredible concentration, which is something that doesn’t come naturally to me,' she said.

'And I’m struggling with stamina and endurance. I’m not fit enough, and I’ve had to join a gym.

'I wake up every morning sounding like Marge Simpson and looking like something out of "Gremlins."'

And she says she feels she should have dealt with the interest in her life differently in the past.

'I’m more frivolous,' she said. 'I haven’t been as bright in some of the decisions I’ve made. Keira [Knightley] is just a more evolved person.

'I feel we live in the kind of culture now where you have to be very smart to navigate the right way, and I just don’t have those smarts. I think with age and time it will change, but I can’t obsess about it.'
