Unfortunately, it has come to my attention that our other mod is taking off for the summer and I'll be on and off. Since neither of us has the patience to check this obviously dead game, I think it is better all around if it's closed indefinitely. I'm really very sorry but I just don't have the time anymore to cater for a game that isn't working out.

This was, in all honesty, my first attempt at modding something like this, and I took it off on the wrong foot. First timers, eh? ;] Sorry again.

Another reason that this is closing is because of the unimaginable amount of spam we're getting in the inbox. Perhaps the wavering of my attention in X-Men has contributed somewhat to this decision, also, but either way, the decision was rather unanimous. The game represents alot of what I used to like, my older interests, etc etc. For this reason, I'm choosing to close it rather than merely drag it down with my lack of enthusiasm.

HOWEVER, I do have a proposition. If anyone maintains an interest in this game, please let me know. I don't particularly want to close it but I may have to. If someone would co-mod with me, I'd be willing to move it to greatest journal since I feel there's more of a sense of community around there.

As I said, let me know. If not, well...shit happens, right? ^^ I'll miss you all and even if we all abandon this sinking ship, I love you.
It had been, Scott thought, a very long day. He'd spent most of it with Warren- they were on a first name basis now, which pleased him, and despite his earlier wariness, he thought the other man could be very good for the school. Certainly the more open environment of the school would be good for him.

He went into the bedroom he shared with Jean, carefully closing his eyes then lifting his glasses a little to rub them. "Man, I'm beat." He told his wife with a small smile. "But it's been a good day. I think Mr. Worthington can be a good ally for us." He gave Jean a small hug. "What did you think of him? Shame you missed him at lunch." He'd forgotten Jean was taking most of the older students on a half-day fieldtrip, so he'd only introduced Warren to the younger ones. A shame, but there'd be other chances.

Who: Scott Summers and Warren Worthington
Where: The school grounds
When: A short time after breakfast on a school day.
Rating: G

Warren: A short time after breakfast Warren was already up in the sky with one of the company helicopters. He loved the view, not to mention the fact that it would make a good impression. He didn't pilot the thing himself though, being content to sit back and enjoy the ride. He was better at airplanes anyway. Up ahead he could see the landing pad on the roof of the school. It was a bit of a mystery to him... Why would they need one? But it didn't bother him overmuch. If his suspicions were true, they had every reason to need one. The landing was smooth and the pilot climbed out to open the door for him. He stepped out and blinked in the sunlight and straightened the coat he wore over his tailored suite as he surveyed the grounds.

Scott: Scott was waiting just inside, and walked out as soon as the chopper landed, holding his glasses against the updraft. "Mr. Worthington? I'm Scott Summers. Thanks you for coming." He held out his hand, looking at the man's suit in consternation and regretting his decision of casual slacks and a button down shirt without a tie. But he was home, while the other was a visitor. It was ok. He held out his hand.

Warren: Warren was surprised. He was expecting an older man... Not this person who seemed to be no older than him. Interesting. He nodded and shook the other man's hand firmly, "It's a pleasure to be here. Shall we?" he indicated the direction from which Scott came, which obviously led down into the building proper.

Scott: "Let's. We'll go down to my office." Scott led the way, studying the other man carefully as they went. One advantage of the glasses was that he could do it without being too overt about it. "The children are all in class at the moment, but I'll give you a tour around the grounds later so you can see." Only where the older students were, who could be trusted not o display their powers too openly.

Warren: Warren nodded again, not really taking in what Mr. Summers was saying. He was busy looking around at the décor. Wood, mostly. Browns, greens and reds predominating. Very home-out-of-town like. He approved. He also noticed how Mr. Summers did not take off his sunglasses indoors. Then again, he didn't take off his coat either. He remained silent as they walked to Scott's office.

Scott: Scott let them into the office and motioned to a coat hanger on the wall, then the chair. "You can leave your coat up there. And please, sit down."

Warren: "I'd prefer to keep it on, if it's all the same to you." he replied calmly and sat down. "Are those sunglasses necessary? I haven't seen anyone wearing ones indoors since high-school." he commented, and the meaning was quite clear - I don't take off mine, you don't take off yours and we're all happy.

Scott: An eyebrow shot up about said red lenses. "I have an eye condition that requires me to keep them on." He said stiffly. "I'm sorry if that makes you uncomfortable." And what was Worthington hiding under his coat? "We should probably get down to business." He looked at the letters on his desk, pretending to read them for a moment. Good thing he had a good memory. "I've gone over the things you and the professor discussed, but I'm still not clear as to why you'd like to help us, and exactly what you want the funds to be used for." He started.

Warren: Ah. Business. Finally. "Yes. Well, whether or not you are aware of it, Worthington Inc. has made many contributions to various causes in the past few years. Some were to help where money is needed, others were for general city betterment. Helping this school, I feel, will fall under the second category. It is, after all, reputed to be a very good school, and I'd like to see more kids learning in good places such as this. You financial problem was brought to my attention... and here I am." he smiled a small smile then, "You can do with the money whatever you want, as long as the school stays open and accepts as many students as you can accommodate with the added funds."

Scott: Scott nodded. "That's very generous of you, Mr. Worthington. And yes, we'd very much like to stay open." Even if he demanded reports on how his money was used, they could use it for mundane things like food and repairs, and divert Xavier's own funds to the specialized equipment they needed. "We've had rather a lot of rebuilding to do lately, which depleted our funds."

Warren: "Indeed, so I've heard." he seemed to ponder something for a moment, "I will be even more generous and not demand of you to report to me where the money goes. I will, however, want to see results. A visit so I can see for myself how things are progressing every now and then wouldn't be amiss either... Say... every three or four months?" Those glasses were starting to get on his nerves. Eye conditions, my foot. And he must have tied the wings' harness too tight again. It was beginning to itch.

Scott: "Of course." Scott nodded. The man seemed uncomfortable. "Are you sure you won't be more comfortable without your coat? We're going out on the grounds now, I think, for a quick tour."

Warren: "Hmm? No, I'm quite all right, thank you." He got up a bit slowly, to cover for a small wing movement in an attempt to loosen the harness a bit. "A quick tour then."

Scott: "Yes." Still uncomfortable, and it wasn't just him. Fascinating. He knew Worthington probably knew the school was open to mutants, but wasn't sure if he knew anything else, or even that there were no 'normal' students there at all. He made a mental note to talk to Xavier when he returned from his West Coast seminar. "We'll start with the outside facilities, as they were the least damaged." He said, and led the way outside.

Warren: Warren followed, the itching didn't get any better and he groaned inwardly. Of all the days that this should happen... "Hold on a minute... Where's the nearest bathroom?" It would be damn difficult rearranging the blasted thing inside a stall, but it wouldn't be the first time Warren had had to do it.

Scott: "Just down there." Scott pointed towards a door by the main entrance. "Be careful, though. Some of the stalls are still undergoing repairs." Curious. Very, very strange.

Warren: "Thank you" he didn't want to appear rushed, but the itching was killing him, so the result was a long-strided brisk walk. It took him ten minutes to get the damn thing in order and make sure he still looked neat afterwards. Still, unnoticed by him, when he emerged from the bathroom, a loose feather has stuck to the bottom rim of the coat.

Scott: Scott leaned against the wall, resisting the urge to follow Worthington and snoop. He looked down when the other man came out, and his eyes widen imperceptibly. A feather. Fascinating. "Let's go outside, then." He said, not commenting on the unusual addition to the man's outfit. "We'll start with the pool and the basketball court."

Warren: Warren nodded politely, "Lead the way."

Scott: He did, showing him the outdoor pool, now just being cleaned for summer, and stopping by the soccer and basketball courts. Without noticing it, he stopped them just on the line where the ground opened when the Blackbird had to leave. "We also have a small track area behind the house, and old stables that are unused now, to the east by the lake. The children swim in the lake as well sometimes, but the pool can be heated in winter so we use it more often. It's less dangerous as well, for the younger students."

Warren: "A shame about the stables. That's one thing you could use my money for. Well... I see you have everything planned out here." Should he ask? Why not. "Tell me, I heard that some of the students here have... special needs. Not unlike your eye condition." he indicated the other's glasses, "How does the school manage those?"

Scott: Ah. Getting down to the real issue, hm? Scott smiled thinly. "As best as can be managed. Some get extra help, or medical attention as needed. For most, it is simply the support of being with other special children, and away from a home environment that can be oppressive, even dangerous to them." Bobby, Rogue, Jubilee. "We try to teach them how to fit in with the outside world, despite their gifts."

Warren: "Gifts. Yes." Warren seemed thoughtful at the phrasing. "They are to some." he smiled to banish away the sudden mood shift, "I would like to talk to some of them... And the rest of the staff, of course, if that's all right?"

Scott: "I'm sure it can be arranged, later today." Scott nodded. "You'll meet the older students if you'd like to stay for lunch. And the other staff- some are away at the moment, but I'll introduce you to those who are here." He paused, thinking for a moment, then decided to go out on a limb. "They are gifts, Mr. Worthington." His voice was firm.

Warren: "Oh, I'm sure they are." It was a dodgy reply, but he didn't really want to get into it right now. "I'd very much like to stay for lunch. I've cleared my schedule for today, so I'm in no rush."

Scott: "Excellent." A non-answer if he'd ever heard one. Scott decided to give him and easy in- or an easy out. "Excuse me, you seem to have picked up something in the grass..." He casually pointed at the feather.

Warren: Warren looked down and tensed. He rigidly bent to pick it up and twirled it between thumb and forefinger. "How special are those students, Mr. Summers?" and for once he actually tried to meet the other's eyes - as difficult as that was through the glasses.

Scott: "Very, very special." Scott looked directly at Warren's face, then slowly let his eyes wander down to his jacket. "Would you like to go back inside?" His voice was quiet and intense.

Warren: The word 'opportunity' was written all over this, but Warren did not forget his history lightly. Maybe they were 'very, very special', and maybe it was just his wistful thinking. He let the feather go and watched it flutter down to the grass, "Yes, let's go in." he sounded resigned, not as energetic as he was before.

Scott: Looked like he was taking the out. Too bad. Scott picked the feather up behind his back, and followed him inside. When they were back in his office he stood behind his desk and placed both hands on the table. "Mr. Worthigton, let's stop dancing around the issue. Yes, the children in this school are mutants. No, that does not make them less than human- or more. Xavier let me understand that doesn't bother you." Even through the glasses, his stare was powerful. "I think that it does."

Warren: Warren frowned, but did not meet the stare. He spoke quietly, "Actually, it doesn't. That was the whole point of it. This place is designed like a home, and is probably just that to the children here. Many mutants don't have that, and the fact that this school is the only one which accepts mutants in the state has not escaped my notice. Have you forgotten that what I required was that my money be used to get more children in here?" he paused then, and added even more quietly, "What they will have out of here is precious, I'm sure you know. Very precious."

Scott: "I do know. And it is. And if this place is a home where people like our students can be accepted," Scott's smile wasn't at all joyful, "then why don't you take off your coat?"

Warren: "Because it takes half an hour if I want to truly enjoy it. It's a waste of both of our time." he replied matter-of-factly, but his body language said that it wasn't an easy admonition.

Scott: "You have time." Scott reminded him. "Your day's clear. It'll be...easier, for the students to talk to you. If they know you're not a complete outsider. The past few months have been very difficult for them."

Warren: Warren looked down. "I see. Well. It would be faster if you'll help me." he looked back up and studied Scott's expression.

Scott: "Tell me what to do." It was a huge show of trust, and Scott was both grateful for Worthington's agreement and surprised that he asked for help.

Warren: Warren gently removed to coat, putting it over the back of the chair he sat in before. Under it, he wore a light blue buttoned-up shirt with a sleeveless vest a tie of a darker shade of blue which matched his pants. The important part was the harness though. From the front, it was just two loops of a leather-like material, through which Warren's arms went. From the back, however, it was a complicated criss-cross thing with buckles at various intervals meant to fold and hold the pair of wings that sprouted from his shoulder blades. To Scott, it must seem like an awfully painful way of treating wings, but Warren knew they were flexible enough for it not to bother him too much. "I'll do the right side, you'll do the left. It's just a matter of unbuckling the whole thing."

Scott: "Um, ok." Scott blinked. Full wings. They didn't have any winged students. Several that could fly, but no real wings. It looked painful, the whole fix-up. He moved over to Warren's side and started unbuckling. "Do you really wear that all the time? It must be quite restrictive."

Warren: "Not all the time... But whenever I'm around other people." he answered, distracted momentarily by trying to manipulate buckles he couldn't see, but knew by feel. "It isn't as painful as it looks."

Scott: "I hope so, for your sake." There was a trace of amusement in Scott's voice. "The other people here won't be bothered by it. Not any more than they're bothers by people who can't touch anybody, or play with fire, or happen to be green and scaly. Not anymore than I bother them." He finished his own side and shifted his weight to help Warren with the other one. "I'd show you mine, but as I said, we've only just finished rebuilding."

Warren: Warren chuckled, "That's some eye condition." When they were both finished, Warren let the harness fall to the ground, the wings unfurling to a semi-open state. "You'd better get out of the way now." he warned and waited for the other to do so before moving them and unfurling them completely, to a series of knacking sounds. His wingspan was easily 5-6 yards.

Scott: Scott's eyes widened, and he whistled low. "They're...beautiful. Can you fly with them?" Aerodynamically, he knew, it shouldn't be possible. But neither should it be possible for him to shoot solar energy out of his eyes, right?

Warren: "Yeah. I think my bones are mutated too, to be lighter." he ran his glance over the wings, making sure they weren't damaged and didn't need preening. "So... If I walk around like this, it would be all right?"

Scott: "Certainly. I meant what I said- it might make things easier."

It had been rather awhile since John had had any interaction with, well, anybody. The Brotherhood really wasn't as social a bunch as the X-Men were, and for the most part, this didn't bother the teenager, but...there was something about the common and almost constant silence which unnerved him, which chilled him to the marrow of his bone. He decided not to dwell too much on it because their ways were never going to be identical, and instead of waiting around for something to just happen, he got off of his lazy arse and took a trip into town. For what, he wasn't quite sure. Possibly to find someone to inflict his company on, maybe to catch up with a previous friend? Hah, that wasn't very likely - it wasn't as if you'd wish to speak with someone who'd changed alliance at the drop of a hat. Literally, one second he'd been happy enough with the X-Men, having a blast with Bobby and the others, and then, after a minor enough blow up one day, he'd disappeared. It was obvious where he'd gone, however. It didn't take a genius to know that he'd always been on the verge of switching.

It was also obvious that this was crossing his mind as his dark eyes looked quite absent, along with his expression, while he walked along the crowded street, packed tight with saturday shoppers. He sighed at length and frowned deeply when he felt someone collide with him.

"Watch where the hell you're going, idiot!" he snarled, before glancing down to see who it was.

Herein lies the problem - I haven't had much time to get them done. So we aren't reopened just yet.
This should probably be going into the ooc comm but meh...I think it's too important or something.</p>

I see that the following has happened;

At least one member has left. Atleast.

Mya, one of our mods, has left. She told me in real life.

Kitty, our other mod (sans moi) is on hiatus right now due to exams.

Most of us have been inactive for over a month, including myself.

We haven't had fresh blood in forever.

None of these are good things -_- so I suppose the following can be done;

I can close the game indefinitely. I do not want to do this.

We can purge. This is a more likely solution/answer. No one would have to reapply but if you could make any entries private or delete them, that'd be fantastic.

We can move to greatestjournal. For no reason other than I like it.

Purging is looking like a better option but I'd need to know if it'd be worth my while to do it because...*hopefully* we'd be getting new members, but I'd like to keep the original ones, too. So...who is still here? I know/think that the following are accounted for.

Pyro

Northstar

Avalanche

Shadowcat

Magneto

Gambit

Scarlet Witch

Quicksilver

Cyclops

Nightcrawler

Rogue

And I know the following are gone.

Sunfire

Iceman

Jubilee

Nocturne

Tessa

Aren

So yeh. It does leave a number of people unaccounted for. Sigh. I guess what I'm asking for is FEED BACK or SUGGESTIONS as to what to do next. Who is still here? Who is definitely gone? ;_;

Thanks for reading this, guys, I really appreciate it.

EDIT. Oh, and reach me on AIM at Subh Milis nowadays if you wanna talk/suggest anything/whatever.
