MOD POST
This should probably be going into the ooc comm but meh...I think it's too important or something.</p>

I see that the following has happened;

  • At least one member has left. Atleast.
  • Mya, one of our mods, has left. She told me in real life.
  • Kitty, our other mod (sans moi) is on hiatus right now due to exams.
  • Most of us have been inactive for over a month, including myself.
  • We haven't had fresh blood in forever.

None of these are good things -_- so I suppose the following can be done;

  • I can close the game indefinitely. I do not want to do this.
  • We can purge. This is a more likely solution/answer. No one would have to reapply but if you could make any entries private or delete them, that'd be fantastic.
  • We can move to greatestjournal. For no reason other than I like it.

Purging is looking like a better option but I'd need to know if it'd be worth my while to do it because...*hopefully* we'd be getting new members, but I'd like to keep the original ones, too. So...who is still here? I know/think that the following are accounted for.

  • Pyro
  • Northstar
  • Avalanche
  • Shadowcat
  • Magneto
  • Gambit
  • Scarlet Witch
  • Quicksilver
  • Cyclops
  • Nightcrawler
  • Rogue

And I know the following are gone.

  • Sunfire
  • Iceman
  • Jubilee
  • Nocturne
  • Tessa
  • Aren

So yeh. It does leave a number of people unaccounted for. Sigh. I guess what I'm asking for is FEED BACK or SUGGESTIONS as to what to do next. Who is still here? Who is definitely gone? ;_;

Many journal rp's go through a dry spell be it with applications, posting or character drop out. But as long as you have a few players who'll wish to continue, reviving it will be no problem. :)

Because I enjoy this game a lot, closing it indefinitely earns a big no from me. (which also means I'm definitely still here) I feel the best solution would be to go ahead with the purging.

A three strike system may help prevent inactivity in players (Or at least force them to leave ooc messages when they need a leave)You could do something like "all members must have a mandatory journal post once every two weeks." (You can specify the time) If someone fails to update, a warning is placed upon them. If they don't post the third time in a row, then re-open the character.

I believe someone mentioned the fact that no one had a plot to play off of, so you may want to just ask players what direction they want there characters to go by. This may help create mini-plots which would be used until more brother hood members join up.

These are just friendly suggestions and if you want, I can pimp you out to some places. Hopefully a few are into X-Men and wouldn't mind applying. :)

True. I definitely think we'll end up purging and say that anyone who doesn't show interest of keeping their characters before then will lose that character. I mean, yeah it might be harsh but it'd really be the only way.

I like the idea of the three strike system. I think we'll end up doing that, too.

I also think maybe we'll make another sub community, this one for requesting storylines.

If you would, that'd be great. But not just yet, ofcourse - wait until we have a definite direction to be heading, heh.

Jean/Paige/Skin-mun here. I am definitely still interested, and will be uber-sad if you decide to close the game. I, for one, think purging is a good idea(we just did it at my game) and it helps get rid of dead weight and the people who are left are interested and usually active.

I think that I might be leaving. I loved being part of this group but I don't feel that I can do this anymore and I feel like dead weight. I'm not really adding anything to the group so I guess this is my resignation.
