Do you have any amusing little Breaking Bad stories to share?

Running into other fans in odd places?

Situations that remind you of the show or its characters.

I've got three myself

1. Chatting with my older brother -- older as in Walt's age + a few -- a few weeks back he suddenly slipped into "Since you're such a big TV geek I've got a show to recommend this time."

He went on to talk about how well it was done... how real and interesting the characters were....BEST THING on TV. I let him go for awhile before I said " Let me guess... you're watching Breaking Bad? "

While he was a lil saddened not to have the jump on me -- its always me calling him telling him he has to watch something -- he was very excited about the show and we really enjoyed sharing that *In the Know* moment together.

2. My daughter recently auditioned and was chosen for a musical in community theater. At the first cast meeting it was all could do not to giggle like an idiot when one of the producers, introducing herself as the high school chemistry teacher, told us all "While I know its hard to believe... chemistry teachers are not near as boring as you think they are"

Bwahahaaaaaaaaaaaaa... Will I ever look at this woman without that lil giggle.

3. Waiting at the drug store behind a loud bluetooth'n pinhead I found myself watching to see what he drove, pondering what I might do to it, as I walked out of the building a few steps behind him.

So you got any :o)
  • I don't but I thought that was funny what you said about that high school chemistry teacher.
    • My daughter is in this musical until late July so I'm gonna have loads of those *Chemistry teachers aren't all boring * giggle moments seeing her for all that time.

Strictly speaking while slightly wild in a way community theater is much safer than meth dealing.
  • In early April, I wrote an e-mail to Clayton at AMC (you know him, Pamala) and he sent me a bunch of those magnets he was giving away. I work at a university and I took one batch to the Chemistry Building and another to the Student Union. I keep mine on my car and I haven't seen any others on cars, but I'm presuming that they got picked up and not thrown away.

I offered what was left to folks on a MySpace group that was started by someone on the crew for the show and a girl who is in Walt's classroom contacted me and said she wanted some.

I have also "spoken" with the guy who plays Gomez (Hank's partner) through the MySpace group.

Just generally, though, I think I'm way too old for to be on MySpace. I have a really hard time relating and while most of the time, I think I'm a pretty good writer, I'm not finding a rhythm there. It's not my scene at all. I'm hanging on for a little while longer, because someone there is going to do me a favor, but when it's over, I'm jumping ship and joining you all. It's much friendlier here and on AMC.
    • Clayton is a doll :o)

What is it with show staff and cast into myspace. I never had one and had no intention to get one until one of my Prison Break writer pals went that way.

My myspace actually says "Nick Santora made my get this ".

I have a 14 year old daughter and tend to think of myspace as her domain NOT mine but what can you do if thats where they are.

Do let me know if you ever see Vince there.
Ten years ago via snail mail he swore he'd never get into the computer world but you never know after all these years.

Actually when you get the chance tell me what its called so I can look it up too.

Hopefully things will get busier and busier here.
I really like the very interactive set up of Livejournal. It really fosters a community spirit.

Feel free to not say - I'm riduculously open with who I am but understand others are not so much - but I wonder what uni you're at. Maybe the state only?

AND since you mention writing I have to ask if you're a fan fic author cuz we are in great need of BB fic to get through to two.
      • It is a MySpace "Group" started Jan. 21. The leader is Jennifer Jane. She is one of the hairdressers on the crew. She's cool. The actors who play Walt Jr., Skinny Pete (Jesse's original connection to Tuco) and Carmen (the school vice principal) are also members. There may be others by now, too. It's just called Breaking Bad, but there are several, so you have to know which one.

I don't have any doubt that Vince is out there watching, but my feeling is that it's not his bag either. I'd be really surprised if he ever set up an account. I don't think he's really got that kind of time, but I'm sure either he or someone representing him checks it all out from now and then.

        I'm in Indiana.

I have done fan fic, about 6 yrs. ago. I haven't really thought too much about it for this show, but I'll consider it.
