I've got a place to live in Victoria!

It was only the second place that I enquired about, and it was just... perfect! One of three bedroom furnished suites in a nice looking house, spacious and well-lit, utilities included, nice area, five minute bus ride from campus, and the landlady sounds very nice. I'll have two other female roommates with a communal kitchen, cable tv, and laundry.

Now I have to figure out a budget, ugh.

Also, I'm thinking of buying a laptop. Since it looks like I'll mostly be flying back and forth, it just makes a lot of sense. I'll probably be going with a Mac. Any suggestions from the laptop people around here?

Oh my gosh I love my girls.

I love that "let's try on stuff together so we can figure out our outfits" turned into "let's have our own personal dance party in the living room with the lights all off except for the mood light maker and the glowing pumpkins." Which then turned into "let's go to the playground at 1:30 in the morning and play on the swings and make orgasm noises and watch Cindy hurt herself."

After parading around in different outfits, everybody has agreed that the Azalea dress doesn't fit me at all. But it looks amazing on Cindy. I am so glad I made her try it on and made her decide to wear it to the masquerade, because it looks like it was made for her and now she's going to buy it off me.

I am going to be surrounded by seriously hot females at this thing. It makes me SO MAD that it's at night and there'll be nowhere with good lighting to get good pictures.

Also, my long dress is completely odor-free. I stuck it in a drycleaner bag with some baking soda wrapped in a paper towel and hanging by a piece of yarn from the hanger. Smoke smell gone. Hooray for home remedies! (I did stick my coffee bunny in there for a while, but have no idea whether that helped or not. It does not now smell like coffee, by the way.)

Oh damn, it's late.

You know, I used to love storms before they had the potential to turn into tornadoes. There's a big-ass tree on the sidewalk across the street thanks to the latest wind storm.

I want my mountains back, plzkthnx.

At least I'll be safe in Victoria. OH NO WAIT, THERE'S TSUNAMI WARNINGS THERE.

Aaaaaaaand it's hailing again.

I don't believe in filters, guys, so srsly, just scroll past if I talk about stuff you don't get. I'm starting to have this really diverse mix of people on my Friends list, so I'm never sure anymore who wants to read what.

Since my Antique Beast stuff is now shipped (LDKFJDLJEDLKF FINALLY), I'm gonna wear it for the masquerade we're all going to in August. When I told everyone that I've already got my whole outfit planned, Cindy went "Are you going to make one of your outfit collages for it?" BECAUSE APPARENTLY I MAKE THOSE A LOT. So. I finally went and made one. Peer pressure.

My cat just left a random Nicoderm patch that somehow got stuck to him on the floor.

Kitty, didn't I tell you to give up smoking a long time ago?

...I hope his fur's thick enough that none of that stuff touched his skin. Who knows what high levels of nicotine can do to a small animal?

There was a crazy storm here earlier. Nasty, dark storm clouds out one window, sunshine out the other, hail all around, high-speed winds, and a rainbow for good measure. The temperature dropped to icy cold during the storm and then turned hot again like nothing happened, and I could see the steam rising off the streets after the rain stopped. Whole thing lasted like ten minutes.

Also, I dreamt I was an elephant last night. That was kind of fun. And then I was at a carnival where there were life-sized glowing robotic My Little Ponies that walked around and you could ride them. And THEN it got crazy.
