Bradley Whitford Love Den

Nothing huge here, but if there are any fellow Linkin Park fans lurking around, here's an unexpected nice little name mention said during Brad Delson's UCLA speech. He's mentioned at 7:50 in this video. Now if only he actually got Whitford on the phone... Is that speech he was complimenting online anywhere to watch? :)

I recently had that very random poll out in the field that seemed to have NOTHING to do with Brad.

As promised I said I will elaborate...

I recent foray back into Hercules provided me with an unexpected personal insight and fodder for university analysis looking at the similarities between the characters of Iolaus and Josh from West wing.

At the time I thought I was a bit nuts and so did my friends... one of whom mistook my suggestions and thought I was talking about a Iolaus/Josh fanfic and the implications of getting that one to work... eeeewww NO!

But in truth, these two characters could have been cut from the same cloth - and reading various articles on both Brad and Michael as actors... I think that runs to them as humans as well.

Both characters have been created to be a bit impulsive, hot headed, trustworthy, honorable, energetic, impetious, resilient, loyal, caring, loving to a fault.

The characters dedication to their 'family' is paramount and unshakeable even when they are acting like fools or don't see eye to eye with them.

I was therefore interested to see if Fans of "Josh/Brad" would also list "Iolaus/Michael" as their fav Herc character.  I think I would have been better just having "who do you prefer - Herc or Iolaus" as the second poll question though... that being said, the second highest preferred character was Autolycus who has Joshish traits too!

Like I said, I think it is more than just the characters too... Both men have an energy that is unstoppable, anyone on this list who saw Brad in Boeing Boeing will attest to that, Hudson Leick describes Michael as a man with more energy than anyone has a right to have and Bruce Campbell recalls being pulled into next week when he was chained to Michael (director and actor) in one episode of Herc.

So this is the reason for the poll.  I basically wanted to get information that I could use for an assignment on personality types and how we can be drawn to certain traits...

I could go on for hours about this... but i won't bore you all :D

As strange as this poll is going to seem, and although it doesn't LOOK like it is Brad related. It is in fact very much something I am researching that is related to Brad. If you feel inclined, please fill him in... it's only two questions. And once I have a few responses I will explain (it's the whole keeping the test untainted schtick)

Finally, word is that NBC is looking to add at least one more comedy, possibly an overhaul of the Bradley Whitford/Romany Malco buddy-cop entry "Off Duty."

*bangs head and repeats*

Considering this was passed on last week, I think i'm now in the 'I'll believe it when/if i see it/Yeah, whatever!' camp. Although, who the hell knows with NBC? (BUT, if it happens, i do hope overhaul means nixing the 'stache, period!)
