About the comm

ICONTEST RULES

1. You'll need to join the community in order to participate in challenges. However you do not need to be a member in order to vote.

2. You may enter up to three (3) icons per challenge unless otherwise stated.

3. Places up for grabs: the usual 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Special categories (i.e. best crop, best colour, best text) will depend on the challenge. Mods choice will be awarded at the mods' discretion.

4. Do NOT reveal/use your icons on LJ until voting is over. Unfair advantage much?

5. Do NOT vote for yourself...that's rather tacky. Invite friends over to vote, by all means, but don't tell them which icons are yours. That's even tackier.

6. If you submitted an icon for a challenge, its only fair that you vote. If you're hoping others will vote for you but you're not taking a moment to vote, something isn't right.

7. Always read the entire submission post to check for changes in rules. From time to time we will be doing special challenges.

8. Icons must be LJ standard; 100x100, and up to 40kb.

9. Animated icons (of any kind) are not allowed.

10. When submitting icons, do so in the following format:
