soooo i totally got to see gavin degraw perform saturday night at a bar near my house on long island. it was one of the best shows i've ever seen! matt wertz was his opener and he was great too (i had actually never heard of him but now i am a fan!). gavin was awesome, he sang tons from chariot and lots from his new disc, all the singles, had amazing energy and a sparkly piano, which i found awesome!! i have never seen him live before, i was very impressed (i've always wanted to, i've been a fan for like...the past 4 years lol). afterwards i got to meet him and he was really sweet! my pic with him is under the cut

THE NEW TREND The EMA's this year were awesome, but Tokio Hotel were by far the best thing :D They beat My Chemical romance, Fall Out Boy, and 30 Seconds to Mars. Is it any wonder why? I discovered their music and found out I LOVE this music. Plus the boy's german accents are so cute ^^
Tokio Hotel also led the sexiest performance of the night! Check out the vid: http://youtube.com/watch?v=P-77GZNzvmQ

Ok, so forgive me if I'm wrong, but is 2007 the year when Jason Mraz, Gavin DeGraw, and John Mayer all turn 30? I think it's kinda cool the way that worked out. It also makes me feel kinda old.

Hey everyone - I'm just dropping by to recommend that everyone check out Rob Blackledge. I saw him open for - and play guitar/piano with - Matt Wertz last night and I was blown away. He's amazingly talented. I haven't stopped listening to his CD since I bought it last night, and I've been telling everyone I know to listen to him. Definitely check him out. =)

PRE-ORDER CHAD PERRONE'S CD "USED TO DREAM" RIGHT NOW!!!!
Chad Perrone is an AMAZING singer/songwriter from Boston, Massachusetts. He was formerly the lead singer for a rock band called averi, but now he's doing the solo-acoustic thing and he is PHENOMENAL. I've already heard 7 of the tracks that are going to be on this album, and they are top notch! Chad has played with a lot of other musicians that fit into the "boys with guitars" category, namely Gavin DeGraw, Michael Tolcher, Hanson, Matt Nathanson, Ben Taylor, Tyler Hilton and many, many more.
For more info (or to listen to some tunes), Chad's website is http://www.chadperronemusic.com and his myspace is http://myspace.com/chadperrone. Thanks!

"Stopless" --Ryanhood |
] |
So, I was referred here by my friend agirlwithavoice because we went to see a concert yesterday and I took lots of pictures.
The band is called Ryanhood, and it's made up of two guys (Ryan Green and Cameron Hood) with their guitars from Tucson, Arizona. The first time we saw them, they opened up for Jason Mraz. Anyway. They are way cute and deserve more recognition and publicity. So I bring to you... RYANHOOD!
p.s. sorry about the quality; the sun was RIGHT over the tent, and I was shooting into it.
( I'm strong, and I'm stopless; I'm weak and in love... )

I won a signed Fender electric guitar from the Maroon5 fan club a few years back...and unfortunately, never touched it. It's been under my bed for months and months..I periodically take it out and dust it..
but, I'm going broke, and could use some money to pay some of my credit card bill off.
Just wasn't sure if there was a market for it anywhere..so I wanted some feedback please!! I was going to go local and just use Craigslist, but I'm in Atlanta, and that might not hit to well..
ebay/anotherlivejournal group/etc..maybe? please help!! x-posted

| reflecting my love of boys with guitars |
[06 Feb 2006|11:19pm] |
at my school talent show a few weeks ago i played 3x5 by john mayer and if for some reason anyone wants to hear my interpretation or it: http://s4.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3KLBFFSLFB2S520T13R8VPX9K6
the coolest part about this performance was that at least three people said "i never liked john mayer before i heard you play that, and now i can't stop listening to him" and one person downloaded 3x5 that night and had it on repeat for hours. i love sharing my love of music with other people so it's really exciting when i turn people onto something.

Hey, everyone! :) I just have a quick question, and hopefully somebody will be able to help me.. even if it's a long shot, haha. I was just wondering if anyone still had a set of pictures of Matt Wertz and Dave Barnes from eventhestreets.com. I used to have them, but my computer crashed and I lost them.. but they were hilarious and I'd love to get a hold of them again. Anyway, here's an old icon from one of the pictures:

Any help would be appreciated! :)

Apologies if I've already "pimped" them, but The Spoon Benders are so ridiculously AMAZING, I demand that you check them out immediately. Seriously. A blend of rock, alternative, and blues, and they're all cute. Check them out today.
They'll be touring soon too, so let me know if you know of a good place for them to play. (I'm not their agent or their manager, I'm just what I like to call a "super fan"...yes, I'm a loser)

So kids...I've recently become infatuated with James Blunt. (Damn myself for not being awesomely British and being able to see him open for Jason Mraz now!) Aherm, anyway, I was wondering if he has any other CDs besides Back to Bedlam. I'd love to check out more. I do hope he is able to go on a national tour over here in the States sometime in the future!
