	Yes, you can! That would be lovely. Just, as you said, the focus of the communnity is on fics, so there shouldn't be more videos/pictures/whatever else than fics. And, of course, they have to be related to bandslash. Also, make sure that if you post any, you put anything large under a cut! Thanks for the question! (Reply to this)(Parent)

i just joined and saw this little 'link-mistake' in the profile of the community. [i dont want to come across as being smartass or something, just want to help.]

the link in the profile to the common-mistakes-post doesnt work [at least not for me. i´m using firefox v. 2.0.0.3 .. maybe it is only a browser problem Ôo]

i copied the adress it leads to and it is:

	Surely! I joined. :D I read the info, but could you give me a short sentence that describes the purpose of the comm? 	yeah it is for all fandoms, but it is more than just a fic search here is a short sentence: For those who can't remember a fic title to save their life, or need to know a random fact about their fandom (such as a name of a minor character), look no further, your questions can be answered here. that is the general idea, you can modify the description if you want (Reply to this)(Parent)

Welcome to the community! =)

There are two ways I can think of off the top of my head. The first is to go to the community profile, and at the very top of the page next to the buttons for adding the community to your flist and the community memories and such, there's a button that looks like the pencil in the LJ logo. By pressing that, you can post to the community. Also, if you're at your homepage, there's a link at the top that says "post an entry." This posts to your journal by default, but there's also a drop-down menu where it says "post to." Just click it and select

boysintheband_x off the drop-down menu, and voila!

	Thank you. ^_^ And, that's what I meant in my question. On the profile, the button at the top where the 'add comm to flist' was, is covered. I can only see the tail end of 'leave this community'. Ohhh, I see. Well, just follow the model in the community profile. Here it is, just in case. Just copy & paste the following into the top of your fic, but make sure it's in HTML mode.

Also, make sure your fic has proper spelling & grammar, or it won't be accepted. If you want a beta, go to the profile and click on the link to the beta list. :)

Hello Sarah or fellow moderators,

I have read your profile carefully, but let me know if I am going about this the wrong way. I will not be offended because I understand the need for order when running a community. I would like to be an affiliate of

boysintheband_x. I recently started bandomsecrets and the community is open to posts about any and all bands. The secrets posted can range from your love for a particular author, band, your wish for more fic of a certain type or anything of that nature.
