10:17 pm [latinforgoddess]	The current state of things! So, I've started semi-updating BOS again. It's been going on for a while, actually, but I just now got the bright idea of actually posting it in our forum! Gee! :D All the new stuff is on the 3rd page of the archives, which have been revamped to be a bit easier to navigate. A new archive page for the NEW story will be coming soon! OH MY. I am hoping to get back into it, because the sheer depth and length of this creative block has taken a tremendous toll on me. I just want to be able to write and draw and be creative again. It's like since my sister died, I lost something I can't seem to get all the way back. All the more frustrating are the times when it seems like it's coming back, and then I just lose it again. I think the problem is that I need to just get back into the habit of writing. So from now on I'm going to start doing it every day again. Even if it's garbage, and even if it's not flowing easily. Because maybe if I just do it enough, the point where ideas flowed easily and enjoyably will come back to me again. After all, I did something like that every day for so many years that I never stopped to think it might have been the fact that I did it often that made it so good for me, instead of the other way around! SO. Expect more BOS. Oh few and (hopefully) faithful watchers! ^_^ Don't worry, I still don't mind that there's not many of you, I appreciate everyone who looks (lots!) but I'd still do it even if nobody was... oh yeah, I have been cuz I forgot to tell you... right then. 10:48 pm [latinforgoddess]	The Miraculous Return of BOS! That's right! I am once again going to start updating the website. Now, I'm not sure if I'll keep it going as a regular comic, though I will certainly still be posting comics, and plan to finish the current storyline(s). And I'll never be getting rid of the name, because of Kori. I even toyed with the idea of changing my url... but I don't know what kind of expense that involves and have had thiscrazysite for many years, so yeah, probably never gonna happen. But I might do something more flexible and just post art and writing I have done. After all, I do this for my own enjoyment, and I don't have a large readership. I am not at all complaining about that, I'm just saying that since it's my site and I do pay to keep it up, I might as well be doing something with it and it might as well be what I want! 9:30 pm [latinforgoddess]	Difficulties. :( I apologize, dear readers. The filler is crummy and I'm late again. I'm hoping the stress of this semester will start to smooth itself out soon, because with each day I'm getting a little more into the routine. So maybe I can start to figure out more tricks as to how to get things done in a timely way without all the stress and rushed feelings. Wednesday will be a story comic though, come hell or high water. Speaking of which, if it makes anybody feel any better, I'm going to be talking about the Shape of Legends in my creative writing class, so hopefully my classmates will have lots of good suggestions on how I can improve it lots! 8:13 pm [latinforgoddess]	Hey, look at my cool folder! Because I am geektarded, I had to decorate my school folders. It's a must, people, I mean, it's all but half the fun of school! 0_o Soooo, anyhow, I definitely did one of them in a BOS theme. The Shape of Legends storyline specifically. ;) Enclosed are magical scanned images of this amazing folder, which took a lot of work to do, as it was harder than expected to draw on that funky folder texture! Also coloring with markers sux, I've decided, so you must ignore the evil color jobs. ( Warning! These images are huge and the file sizes, sadly, are ginormous! 11:52 pm [latinforgoddess]	This week's is up, a bit late. Well, since I didn't get it uploaded until about 11:30 it was almost silly of me to give it the Sunday date. :P But, I did get it up on time technically. I just got really distracted by homework. Hopefully, if anyone noticed, they didn't mind. I'm still pretty displeased with the color of Torri's "Nessie" form. I think I'll change it later. Sometimes I wish I had someone else to color the comic for me because I suck that hardcore at it. But then I couldn't procrastinate and do updates at 11 pm! ;) And besides, I'd feel weird because every single other aspect of the comic and site is stuff I do myself. So oh well, I'll just have to try and learn how to suck less at coloring. It might be more enjoyable if I didn't color it on the computer, maybe I will use markers... the only problem with that is that I can't erase and fix it if it comes out bad, which I can do on the computer... and I like being able to keep the lineart pristine for some reason. If I ruin the original during coloring I'd have to start over as opposed to just clicking undo a few times. Or, I could learn how to shade well enough so that when I leave the comic uncolored, it's at least decent-looking in black and white. Hmmm. I wish I hadn't had to drop my drawing class. Sigh. But I couldn't handle it with all the other crap going on this semester. Just too much. Ah well, I plan to take it over the summer. Don't get me wrong, I bicker at myself like this about it *points to post* but I truly love creating Bowl of Serial. I just wish I was more talented at it, is all. I think my audience likes it fine for the most part, it's myself I have such a tough time pleasing! Oh well. Artist rant is now done. Anyway, so what does everyone think? 11:32 pm [latinforgoddess]	Come one, come all! Color colors wif us! We gots bwue! So now there's an official Bowl of Serial LJ community! Yay! It's very much like having a forum. I'm so excited. I think feedback on the site will really help me with my motivation to make it better. I'm Kimi, the writer/artist/creator/site maintainer/what-have-you. I'd like to personally welcome any and all comers! Hi there! I hope you enjoy your stay. It's hard to believe I've been doing the comic for over a year. While it's true that I maintain Bowl of Serial mostly for personal enjoyment, I'd like to get better at it, have a good site, and tell a good story that I'm updating at least twice a week... those are the long-term goals. The "impossible dream" is to actually have people who read and enjoy the comic. It makes me incredibly happy when my stories bring joy to others. Spreading joy is good, it's wearing p-jammers all day and running around in the sun good. Anyhow, I hope this community turns out to be active and fun! start posting, guys!
