Intercon I - Intergalactic - March 6-8, 2009

Why is this little green guy excited? Is...he hungry?

No! It's because Intercon I, the twelfth annual New England Intercon, the all-genre, all-LARP convention, will be in Chelmsford, Massachusetts on the weekend of March 6-8, 2009!

He knows we've already lined up some of the best LARPs in the Universe and we're planning some more events that are sure to make this the best New England Intercon yet.

In addition to all of the great LARPs, our fabulous Con Suite, the Saturday night dance party and the Sunday raffle mixed with plugs and information about other great LARP campaigns, conventions and events, we're also planning a few new things.

One of them is an "Iron GM" competition at Intercon I. Up to four GM teams will have 24 hours to write a LARP based on three secret "theme" ingredients. More information about entering in the Iron GM Competition is forthcoming but during Intercon I, these games will be run as part of the judging and you will be able to sign up for them. We're also working on some other new ideas and events to fill an additional day at Intercon I, on March 5 and 6. As soon as they are in place we'll be sending you that information!

In the meantime, the our bid committee has already booked these great LARPs for Intercon I--more details are on our website.

Our full schedule and signups for the LARPs of Intercon I will be ready early next month. If you register now, you'll hear about it first!

By the way, if you happen to come across the wreck of spaceship and its dying occupant entrusts you with a great LARP from a planet far, far away, or maybe you just happen to have an idea of your own that some of the greatest LARPers around would enjoy, you should visit our game bidding page. We'd love to hear from you. (Note: GMs are responsible for providing translations from other Galactic languages.)

Intercon I - Intergalactic is proudly brought to you by New England Interactive Literature. The Intercon name is licensed from the Live Action Roleplayers Association (http://www.larpaweb.net), from whom you can find out about other LARPs and LARP conventions. Go check them out, too!

Question: would you be adverse to a documentarian visiting? I'm making a documentary about Pandemonium Books and I need con footage. Plus I haven't interviewed any LARPers for the doc, yet, so I'd love to get that material.
