Got (Supportive) Parents?
Saturday January 5th
Community Meeting, Social, and Support for Parents, Family, and Friends of Transgender People
Hosted by Greater Boston PFLAG and Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition

10:30 am to 12 noon
United First Parish Church
1306 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA 02169

Greater Boston PFLAG and the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition invite parents, family, and friends for a morning of networking, support, and education. Parents, friends, and family are a critical and important part of the Transgender community, but sometimes there are not as many opportunities for networking, support, or educational events about the issues that affect families with Transgender members.

This is an opportunity for family and friends to come together in a supportive environment and learn about how family advocacy can advance the Transgender Civil Rights Bill, HB 1722, which is currently pending in Massachusetts. The community meeting will include a session on how to educate legislators on the issues that affect your family, because of discrimination against Transgender people.

This event is open to all family members and friends of Transgender people interested in creating a safe and respectful society. No prior activism experience is needed to attend - just a willingness to be a part of an exciting movement.

Light refreshments and materials will be provided. For more information visit http://www.gbpflag.org/ or http://www.masstpc.org/ or email: info@gbpflag.org

Facilitated by the Massachusetts Transgender Political Coalition and Greater Boston PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender People)
